• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering
• Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Supply Chain Management

• Age At least 26 years

• Good knowledge of yarn types, counts, compositions, blends, and quality specifications.

• Practical understanding of yarn sourcing, costing, price negotiation, and supplier management.

• Familiarity with textile and knitwear production requirements.

• Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and related reporting tools.

• Good command of written and spoken English.

• Ability to manage multiple orders, meet deadlines, and coordinate effectively with suppliers and internal teams.

Cixing Bangladesh Ltd. is looking for a skilled and proactive Yarn Merchandiser to manage yarn sourcing, supplier coordination, costing, procurement, and order execution for its textile and knitwear-related operations.

The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating with yarn suppliers, evaluating yarn specifications and prices, monitoring order progress, and ensuring the timely availability of quality yarn according to production requirements. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of yarn varieties, textile specifications, procurement procedures, and supplier relationship management.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage yarn sourcing, procurement coordination, and supplier communication to ensure the timely availability of required yarn.

• Collect and evaluate yarn quotations, compare prices, negotiate commercial terms, and prepare yarn costing.

• Coordinate yarn orders based on required count, composition, blend, color, quality, and other technical specifications.

• Follow up with suppliers regarding yarn availability, sample submissions, approvals, order confirmation, and delivery schedules.

• Monitor yarn orders from placement to delivery and coordinate with relevant departments to avoid delays.

• Evaluate yarn quality and specifications in coordination with technical and quality control teams.

• Maintain records of yarn quotations, purchase orders, supplier details, costing sheets, and delivery status.

• Monitor yarn market prices and identify suitable sourcing opportunities to optimize procurement costs.

• Resolve issues related to yarn quality, shortages, delayed deliveries, and discrepancies in supplied materials.

• Coordinate with management, production, and commercial teams to ensure smooth yarn procurement and order execution.

• Perform other relevant duties assigned by management.
