Education & Experience

• Experience: 1 to 3 years of proven experience as a WordPress Developer.

Technical Skills (Must Have)

• Strong practical experience in developing business, eCommerce, portfolio, or landing page websites using WordPress.
• Expertise in WordPress and modern page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery).
• Strong understanding and practical experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL.
• Experience with WooCommerce, Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), Custom Post Types, and shortcodes.
• Expertise in the WordPress Theme Structure, including both the traditional (Classic) theme files and the newer Block-based (FSE) architecture (e.g., theme Json, template parts).
• Proven knowledge of the WordPress Template Hierarchy and how to leverage it for custom template development.
• Knowledge of theme and plugin development.
• Familiarity with Git and version control systems.
• Strong understanding of SEO principles, website optimization, and security best practices.

Responsibilities & Context

The ideal candidate will be passionate about clean design, efficient code, and creating user-friendly, responsive websites.

• Develop, customize, and maintain high-quality WordPress websites, themes, and plugins.
• Design and implement responsive, user-friendly, and SEO-optimized websites.
• Convert design files (e.g., Figma/PSD) into fully functional WordPress sites.
• Customize and extend themes and plugins to meet project requirements.
• Demonstrate deep knowledge of the WordPress Template Hierarchy for effective file management and theme customization.
• Work proficiently with both Classic and Block (Full Site Editing - FSE) theme structures.
• Integrate WooCommerce for eCommerce projects and configure payment gateways.
• Optimize website performance (speed, SEO, and security) and fix website issues.
• Integrate APIs, third-party tools, and custom functionalities as required.
• Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously to meet tight deadlines, even under pressure.
• Collaborate effectively with designers and other team members.
• Stay up to date with the latest WordPress and web development trends.
