Responsibilities & Context:

1. Operational Leadership & Daily Administration

  • Serve as acting head in the Principal’s absence with full operational authority

  • Oversee daily operations: timetables, duty rosters, class coverage, campus management

  • Ensure teacher attendance, punctuality, and uninterrupted classroom instruction

  • Arrange immediate substitute coverage for absent staff

  • Maintain discipline; handle serious misconduct (suspension/expulsion) with due process

  • Supervise campus safety, cleanliness, and infrastructure (CCTV, biometric, fire safety)

  • Manage transport system (8 GPS-tracked buses within 15km radius)

  • Maintain school calendar; ensure conflict-free execution of events and exams

  • Issue official communications to staff, parents, and students

  • Authorize documents: certificates, testimonials, transfer records

2. Academic Management & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure academic excellence across Pre-Primary, Primary, and Secondary sections

  • Lead Secondary Section (Classes 6–9) until coordinator is appointed

  • Review and approve master timetable; resolve academic conflicts

  • Conduct classroom observations and provide structured feedback

  • Lead examination cycle: planning, invigilation, results, compliance

  • Ensure NCTB curriculum delivery with STEAM enrichment

  • Drive academic targets (90%+ performance)

  • Monitor student progress; implement intervention plans

  • Lead Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs)

  • Oversee Hifz programme (45 students)

  • Manage admissions and support expansion (Class 10 in 2027; 11–12 in 2028)

3. Staff Leadership, HR & Development

  • Act as primary HR authority: attendance, leave, discipline, conflict resolution

  • Recommend hiring/dismissals with documentation

  • Design teacher induction programmes

  • Lead performance appraisals using observation and student data

  • Identify training needs; coordinate professional development

  • Mentor teachers; promote continuous improvement culture

  • Ensure staff wellbeing and positive work environment

  • Maintain HR records: contracts, training, appraisals

  • Resolve conflicts with fairness and Islamic principles

4. Student Affairs & Welfare

  • Ensure student safety, health, and wellbeing

  • Oversee first aid system and clinic coordination

  • Lead scholarship programme (125 students) with fairness and confidentiality

  • Chair disciplinary committee for serious cases

  • Oversee extracurricular activities: clubs, sports, leadership programmes

  • Maintain student activity calendar with budgets and responsibilities

  • Address student and parent complaints fairly

  • Enforce child safeguarding policies

5. Islamic Environment & Character Development (Tarbiyah)

  • Preserve and strengthen Islamic identity of the institution

  • Ensure daily Salah and Islamic practices on campus

  • Maintain Islamic environment: assemblies, recitation, Adhan, Jumu’ah

  • Lead Tarbiyah programmes (Siddiq, Amanah, Tabligh, Fatanah)

  • Organize Islamic events: Quran competitions, Seerah, Ramadan programmes

  • Manage Zakat and Sadaqah programmes transparently

  • Oversee community Quran education programmes

  • Model Islamic leadership in conduct and decision-making

6. Financial Oversight & Resource Management

  • Approve expenditures above BDT 5,000

  • Review monthly fee collection reports

  • Oversee procurement with transparency and value assurance

  • Prepare and submit monthly financial summaries

  • Maintain asset management and records

  • Monitor scholarship fund disbursement

  • Support annual budget preparation

  • Report financial irregularities immediately

7. External Relations, Compliance & Engagement

  • Represent institution with Education Board, NCTB, BANBEIS, authorities

  • Ensure regulatory compliance and timely reporting

  • Manage board registrations and examination procedures

  • Build relationships with local government and education offices

  • Represent school at forums, conferences, and events

  • Lead community engagement initiatives and programmes

  • Manage institutional media and public relations

  • Maintain institutional reputation

8. Committee Leadership & Principal Coordination

  • Chair weekly SEMC meetings; ensure follow-through of decisions

  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports to Principal

  • Implement strategic directives and report progress

  • Maintain decision log with documented outcomes

  • Ensure smooth transition from interim committees

9. Strategic Planning & Institutional Growth

  • Contribute to long-term strategic planning

  • Lead preparation for Class 10 (2027 launch)

  • Plan academic structure for Classes 11–12 (2028)

  • Drive continuous improvement using performance data

  • Promote technology integration (smart classrooms)

  • Support fundraising and donor engagement initiatives
