In Bangladesh market, we have over USD 125 MM exposure in both public and private equities.
∎ In addition to investing in publicly listed companies, we also directly invest in target companies in high potential sectors including - financial services/Fintech, healthcare, digital marketing and consumer products. We also invest our own capital and, unlike traditional venture capital firms, we do not operate as a venture fund. As a result, we are highly selective & have greater flexibility with regards to structuring and investment time horizons for the right opportunities.
∎ We are looking for a potential candidate who has excellent capacity in Financial Control & Planning, analysis, detailed due diligence to overseeing key functions & execution with strong follow up skills. Interested candidates should expect a challenging environment in which multiple tasks will be assigned at a time, and that too need to be done within tight deadlines. Only candidates with strong multitasking ability and organization skills are encouraged to apply.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Execution - The person will be responsible for executing all the financial strategies across multiple entities as guided by the CEO. (S)He will not only achieve and surpass financial goals but also collaborate with the senior leadership team to develop and implement plans for the rapid growth of the organization.
∎ Monitoring and Evaluation - The person will measure the effectiveness and efficiency of all financial processes (both internal and external) and take corrective measures if there is any material deviation from stipulated guidelines. (S)He has to make sure that the entire finance of the business is running smoothly with necessary compliance.
∎ Reporting/ Follow Up - (S)he has to provide timely and complete reports (to the CEO) on the overall financial condition of the businesses and explain the causes if there is any material deviation (10%) from the assigned goals.
∎ Planning and Analyzing - The person will have to work rigorously on how to improve the overall financial performance and share the plans in detail with the senior management. During and after the execution of a plan, he needs to analyze critically every financial decision and change/adjust accordingly.
∎ Leadership - This position demands a strong leader who can recruit, guide, motivate and retain people to drive the employees for gaining higher efficiency over time.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 10+ years of strong operational experience in a senior management role
∎ Demonstrated experience of handling multiple projects across separate entities
∎ Establish and implement financial systems, controls, and measurement systems to assure fiscal integrity as well as accurate and timely financial and management reporting.
∎ Direct and coordinate the annual budget planning processes, controlling the tone and prioritization for initiatives and make recommendations to support of the short and long-term needs of the company.
∎ Maintaining liaison with Banks and other Financial Institutions, Board of Investment, Bangladesh Bank, NBR, RJSC consultants and other external stake holders regarding financial issues, in-ward/out-ward remittances, various approvals, and statutory compliance and reporting.
∎ Perform operationally focused financial analysis and intelligence gathering to support strategic and business development initiatives.
∎ Develop and manage budget, regularly update financial forecasts to compare results versus budget, short- and long-term financial projections, company cash position, current risks and probabilities.
∎ Direct ongoing analysis of company's capital requirements to ensure optimal capitalization and availability of funds as needed.
∎ Ensure compliance and accurate reporting with regard to all regulatory matters.
∎ Recommend opportunities for profit improvement, productivity enhancement and cost reduction, and run timely scenario analysis to aid decision makings.
∎ Deal with the auditors, bankers, external advisers, investors and other representative bodies, trade associations, Government departments, and other regulatory authorities.
