Job Context:
∎ Traidcraft Exchange, Ulashi Sreejony Sangha and Bikash Bangladesh have been implementing an EU funded governance project since 2021, WEE project contributes to achieving the global objective of enhancing the ability of local partners and grassroots women civil society organisations to participate in governance and development processes in Bangladesh. The project builds capacity of women CSOs to contribute to the advancement of gender equality, women`s empowerment for inclusive development and the participation of marginalised women in local governance. We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to take up Upazila Field Coordinator role under this project in Jashore region. This role will be recruited under local partner Ulashi Sreejony Sangha (USS)`s pay roll system. Please find the detailed job descriptions of the role here.
∎ Role: Upazila Field Coordinator; will be recruited by project`s local partner Ulashi Sreejony Sangha (USS)
∎ Purpose: To lead execution of overall field operations as per project mandate across Jessore Sador Upazial under Jessore districts and line manage the Associations` Leaders.
∎ You will be: An energetic person to oversee and mentor activities of the partner Women CSOs and associations in certain Upazilas of the district.
∎ Hours: Full Time (40 Hrs) contractual for 11 months, starting from very recent.
∎ (The position is based in one of the above-mentioned districts, applicant may mention their preferred location if they wish to)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ S/he will be responsible for guide and supervising Associations' Leaders to ensure effective implementation of project activities
∎ Maintain network and close liaison with district, sub-district (upazila) and union level stakeholders for smooth running of the project activities
∎ Plan and coordinate all the training courses and workshops and submit training plan and budget to the Regional Coordinator
∎ Maintain the smooth and effective running of the training courses and workshops with the assistance of the project and partner NGO staff
∎ Prepare and update women CSOs' profile/database regularly and other necessary records and send to Regional Coordinator for programme level record keeping
∎ Prepare monthly and quarterly field level action plan and submit to Regional Coordinator
∎ Maintain a proper accounting system at the field level and assist Associations' Leaders in proper record maintaining
∎ Regularly communicate with the Associations' Leaders and partner staff in order to foster a congenial and effective working environment
∎ Regular field visit to ensure implementation of all project activities according to action plan.
∎ Continually seek and act upon opportunities for personal and team development
∎ Carry out other duties, which may or may not be related to the job, as reasonably requested by management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 2-3 years' Experience in small and Marginal farmers' group and association development and maintenance
∎ Must have computer literacy (Minimum Word and Excel)
∎ Must have good communicative ability and flare for developing quick friendly relationship with mostly illiterate poor and vulnerable population
∎ Must have good facilitation skills
∎ Must have willingness and ability to live and work in remote areas and with most vulnerable people/communities
∎ Must have valid driving license to ride motorbike.
∎ Progressive job experience in field level pro-poor development project management
