Job Context:
∎ TAHZINDONG an environmental and socio-economic development organization has been responding to implement project in the host community of Lama, Alikodom Upazilafrom October 2019. Since 2018, WorldFish is implementing "Feed the Future Bangladesh Aquaculture and Nutrition Activity (BANA)`` Project Funded by USAID. This is under the United States Government`s global hunger and food security initiative, Feed the Future, and has the goal of achieving inclusive aquaculture sector growth through a market systems approach in the Feed the Future Zone of Influence (ZOI) and Zone of Resilience (ZOR).
∎ Location of posting: Lama and Alikadam upaziila,Bandarban Hill District.
∎ Contract Duration: One (01) Year
∎ Reporting: Upazila Aquaculture and Nutrition Officer will report to Aquaculture and Nutrition Coordinator. S/he will be reporting to the TAHZINGDONG program team when necessary.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide support in implementing aquaculture activities according to the work plan and scheduled timeline.
∎ Maintain relationship between project target people and the project management through capacity building and technical support activities.
∎ Supervise of Union Facilitators (UFs) while his/her supervisor will be project Nutrition and Aquaculture Coordinator.
∎ Establish and maintain strong communication with different stakeholders such as local government, upazila fisheries department, upazila department of women and child affairs, upazila health complex, Upazila Nutrition Coordination Committee (UNCC) etc.
∎ Assist Aquaculture and Nutrition Coordinator in preparing monthly progress report with the cooperation of Union Nutrition Facilitators through providing data from UFs.
∎ Support Union Facilitators to conduct training on aquaculture for the project direct beneficiaries in the field.
∎ Monitor project activities through regular visit in the field to ensure quality of the project deliverables and mobilize the Union Facilitators.
∎ Attend meetings and workshops with the different stakeholders, funding partners and Tahzingdong to inform about the progress of the project activities.
∎ Provide technical support to the direct beneficiaries in case of arising any complication in the field.
∎ Collect data from the Union Facilitators through KOBO monitoring tool and submitting to theANC and central monitoring team.
∎ Collect field level evidence/case studies of project activities through photographs and send it to the central monitoring team.
∎ Establish and maintaining relationship with the market actors to help create market linkages among beneficiaries and market actors.
∎ Attend various meetings at the upazila level and presenting the project activities before government authorities regularly.
∎ Nurturing relationship with the press to mobilize it as and Designing content for proactive media campaign as well as for publishing in local and national media.
∎ Have to be travelling extensively throughout the unions of upazila for smoother implementation of the project activities.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 05 years of professional experience in maintaining aquaculture/ nutrition project.
∎ Working experience of CHT will be an added value.
∎ TECHNICAL SKILLS:
∎ Skill of photography
∎ Able to adopt different smart monitoring tools such as KOBO/IDK.
∎ Able to take decision in a timely manner, priorities and multi-task work seamlessly
∎ Having valid driving license and able to drive motorcycle for long distances.
Salary:
∎ Monthly Gross Salary will be Forty Five thousand (45,000.00 BDT) with other admissible benefits such as festival bonus according to project and organizational policy.
