Educational Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensures the technical excellence of programming, leading technical aspects, including strategic planning and implementation, ensuring clarity over plans and priorities, and encouraging effective teamwork across the project team comprising staff from partner organizations.
∎ Remains up to date on and ensures international and national evidence are reflected in program design and implementation.
∎ In coordination with the COP, supports overall project leadership, management, and technical direction while ensuring in-country compliance with FHI 360 policies and procedures and USG rules and regulations.
∎ Facilitates the preparation of programmatic deliverables, including annual work-plans, quarterly and annual reports, final project report and project activity updates, and other project-related communication and reporting materials in accordance with USAID deadlines and branding guidelines.
∎ Supervises a team of technical and program staff, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities and lines of communication are maintained among the team members.
∎ Ensures technical quality, adequacy and clarity in project deliverables and communication materials.
∎ Manages relationships with local partners and ensures sub-awardee quality of program implementation.
∎ Collaborates with monitoring, evaluation, research and learning team and operations, compliance and finance staff in achieving program objectives.
∎ Provides guidance and mentoring to managers and staff to achieve project goals and develop national leadership capacity.
∎ Deputizes for the COP and serves as acting COP when needed
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum of 8+ years of demonstrated experience in leading technical quality of nutrition programming, with an emphasis on community-based nutrition interventions, community clinic systems strengthening, gender and women's empowerment and social and behavior change communication (SBCC) in developing countries, preferably in Bangladesh.
∎ Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse team on projects of similar scale (financially, culturally, staff size and activity).
∎ Strong ability to manage and deal with diverse stakeholders.
∎ Experience working in a non-governmental organization (NGO) with USAID-funded projects.
∎ Experience working in Bangladesh with knowledge of the public health sector, culture and context
∎ Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to plan, organize, and manage resources for successful completion of projects.
∎ Ability to motivate, influence, delegate and collaborate with others.
∎ Ability to build positive local working relationships with local communities, district government officials, UN and where appropriate, donor representatives.
∎ Excellent written and oral presentation skills in English; fluency in Bengali required.
