Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor in Physiotherapy / Occupational Therapy / Speech and Language Therapy / Psychology or any relevant discipline from a reputed institution.

Job Context:
∎ The Centre for Disability in Development (CDD) is a not for profit organization established in 1996 to develop a more inclusive society for persons with disabilities. CDD simultaneously builds technical capacities of the development stakeholders and the communities in how to be more inclusive whilst also enabling persons with a disability to participate in society by strengthening their leadership and providing them with essential rehabilitation and other supports.
∎ CDD is one of the most renowned organizations in the field of disability-inclusive development. CDD`s work in Bangladesh is supported by international and national donor agencies/development partners. CDD offers an inclusive, amicable, and respectable work environment.
∎ The Ramon Magsaysay Award (Asian version of the Noble prize) has been awarded to its Executive Director in 2010. In 2018, CDD was recognized by the Government of Bangladesh as one of the best organizations working on disability and development issues.
∎ This position will be recruited by CDD under a project titled, Inclusive Emergency Assistance to Crisis-affected Rohingya Population in CXB and BC, Bangladesh to be implemented with the support of HI. The project will take initiatives to improve the economic condition of people with disabilities by accessing inclusive livelihood, mental health and wellbeing support.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ ** Key function - 1: Technical oversight
∎ The Team leader/ manager is responsible for coordinating, consolidating, and ensuring smooth implementation of interdisciplinary rehab services in the camp under the supervision of Project Operations Manager.
∎ Training/clarification to therapists and assistants on identified needs.
∎ Conduct case discussion, training needs assessment, and share with Program Operation Manager.
∎ Support Program Operation Manager in developing CPE strategy, module and organizing appropriate events.
∎ ** Key function - 2: Project management
∎ Oversee the day to day activities of all Team members to ensure effective implementation of program.
∎ Manage the Rehab professionals, Therapy Assistants, Community Mobilizers & volunteers.
∎ Implement project's activities as per the Project Implementation Plan (PIP) and project budget.
∎ Liaise, coordinate with relevant authorities to plan, organize and follow up of Hearing & Visual out-reach camps.
∎ Work with Project Operation Manager for maintaining liaison with different govt. authorities such as CiC Office, UNO office, Upazilla Social Service Officer, Health Complex & Union Parishad.
∎ Facilitate/ Prescription for the required customized assistive device (e.g., wheelchair, crutches, special seat chair, etc) of the clients through appropriate measurement.
∎ Work closely with Rehab Operations Manager & Program Operation Manager during preparation of Monthly report and contributing in narrative.
∎ Refer the clients to appropriate internal and external facilities and services, including medical services.
∎ Developing case studies, lessons learned and representing in appropriate forum.
∎ Identify team goals and evaluate team progress.
∎ Contribute in project monitoring, tracking, and evaluation (provide support in field visit of visitors).
∎ Key function - 3: Onsite technical support
∎ Provide rehabilitation services to beneficiaries.
∎ Guide and support in Home Modification for better accessibility for Persons with Disabilities
∎ Facilitate/ selection of appropriate assistive device, random follow up of clients.
∎ Documentation of client files and other related information about service delivery.
∎ ** Professional Development
∎ Identify areas for professional development and share with the Focal at CDD-HQ to enable an action plan to improve professional skills.
∎ Engage in self-directed learning to grow skills and competencies.
∎ Seek feedback and support as necessary to improve skills and achieve objectives.
∎ Any other related task assigned by the authority.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 24 to 45 years
∎ Minimum 03-04 years of professional work experience in relevant sectors (National/ International NGO)
∎ Professional and technical understanding of multidisciplinary service provision in the refugee camp setting
∎ Familiar with NGO Bureau rules & regulations.
∎ Excellent interpersonal, networking, communication, negotiation, and facilitation skills.
∎ Excellent reading and writing skills in English and Bangla, including the ability to compose, edit, analyze and report using complex information
∎ Practical experience of working in the refugee camp and managing a multidisciplinary team.
∎ Have time management, leadership, analytical ability, multitasking, facilitation; communication, presentation, and report writing skills;
∎ Have adaptability, teamwork, relationship building, and change management skills;
∎ Basic IT skills, basic knowledge of MS Excel.
∎ Have outstanding skills and expertise in communicating by email and the internet.
∎ Proven experience in development/ humanitarian program management, team management and on Disability inclusion in Development or in Humanitarian response.
∎ Proven experience working with National NGOs and/or other international stakeholders.
∎ Prepared to work for long hours in case of emergency in challenging humanitarian context.
∎ Good cultural awareness and sensitivity.
∎ Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks under pressure.
∎ Networking, communication, relationship building, and negotiation skills.
∎ Analytical thinking and writing.
∎ Drive for continuous professional learning.

∎ Work station is Ukhia with frequent field visit of project location Bhasanchar.
