Responsibilities & Context:

Position Summary:

The Food & Beverage Supervisor (IPD Services) plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations of food services within the hospital. This includes overseeing staff assignments, meeting patients` dietary needs, and maintaining quality standards in food preparation and delivery, all while prioritizing patient satisfaction and compliance with healthcare protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and supervise food service staff, including scheduling, assigning tasks, and providing necessary training.

  • Collaborate with clinical dieticians to plan menus and create recipes catering to patients` nutritional and therapeutic needs.

  • Address and resolve patient concerns or complaints regarding food services.

  • Maintain detailed records, including daily checklists, incident reports, and feedback logs.

  • Oversee meal assembly and ensure quality standards are consistently met.

  • Conduct audits, surveys, and evaluations to drive continuous improvement in food service.

  • Monitor food storage, supply levels, and expenditures, addressing discrepancies promptly.

  • Ensure adherence to hygiene, sanitation, and infection control protocols.

  • Innovate and implement new strategies to enhance patient satisfaction and operational efficiency.

  • Assist in community-based programs such as Meals on Wheels and support cafeteria services management.

  • Participate in project-based assignments and contribute to departmental quality assurance programs as directed by the Head of Department (HoD) for Food & Beverage.
