Job Responsibilities:
∎ We are currently looking for a suitable candidate to head our sweater fashion design division. The candidate will work with the Creative Director & the technicians to create new sweater designs for our esteemed clients that include a range of global retail brands and also to translate our buyers' designs to the final mass product.
∎ Moreover, we currently possess the largest capacity of computerized flat bed knitting machines in Bangladesh so the candidate will be required to coordinate with our existing CAD designers to produce attractive jacquard/intarsia sweaters.
∎ Confer with merchandising and management executives or with buyers in order to discuss design ideas.
∎ Direct and coordinate workers and technicians involved in product and sample development
∎ Research knitting trends and design heavy knitwear (sweaters) for the company and its retail buyers. This includes, but is not limited to, selection of yarns and accessories to be used for products.
∎ Sketch rough and detailed drawings of sweaters, and write specifications such as color schemes, construction, material types, and accessory requirements.
∎ Adapt commercial designers' ideas for the mass market.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 22 to 40 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Self starter, capable of diversified duties from creative to administrative.
∎ Must be meticulous, organized and articulate
∎ Must be a team player with ability to multi-task and prioritize
∎ Knowledge of M1+ Knitting Software is a plus
