Experience Requirements
Minimum 5–6 years of hands-on experience in Commercial (Import) functions in a reputed spinning mill is mandatory.
Additional Requirements
Age should be within 40 years.
Must have sound knowledge of computer applications and relevant software & good communication skills in both written and spoken English and Bangla.
Candidates should be dynamic, self-motivated, hardworking, and possess strong initiative with the ability to work independently.
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Job Context
We are a 100% export-oriented automated spinning mills, looking for a dynamic, energetic and analytic candidate for the post of “Sr. Asst. Manager (Commercial-Import)". The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of import documentation, LC operations, and coordination with banks, customs, and C&F agents.
Job Responsibilities
Manage and monitor all import-related activities, including LC opening, amendment, shipment tracking, and document retirement.
Prepare all Commercial Import documents (bill of exchange, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Buyer Packing List, Truck challan, Beneficiary Certificate, Shipping Bill etc.) and others documents prepare for Buyer, Customs and Bank purpose.
Communicate with foreign suppliers, banks, shipping lines, and C&F agents for timely shipment and clearance.
Handling with the Bank and authorities to ensure smooth LC settlement and document processing. (All Import activities, Loan Sanction, Renewal & Repayment, LC, Purchase, Maturity Payment Etc.)
Ensure full compliance with Bangladesh Bank regulations, customs rules, and import policies.
Monitor port activities, logistics, and shipment schedules to ensure timely delivery.
Having knowledge of procedure for import and commissioning of Capital Machinery and Spare Parts of Spinning industry.
Capable of doing works related to C&F agent, Conduct cost estimation, duty calculation, and HS code verification for imported goods,
Coordinate with C&F agents and transport companies for smooth clearance and transportation of goods from port to factory.
Ensure timely execution of L/C-related activities, shipment follow-up, and document retirement to release consignments without demurrage.
Identify process improvements to reduce lead time and import costs.
Work closely with internal departments (Accounts, Procurement, and Production) to coordinate import requirements.
Maintain proper records of import transactions and prepare weekly/monthly reports for management.
Any others task assigned by the superior & Management.
