• Freshers with strong research skills and good knowledge of international education may also apply.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong research and analytical skills, with an eye for detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Bangla.
• Good knowledge of global higher education systems and student visa procedures.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace; ability to build and maintain databases.
• Ability to organise large amounts of information clearly and present it simply.
• Self-motivated, organised and able to meet deadlines.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

HAI Education is hiring a Research & Development Specialist to be the team's go-to source on admission requirements, student visa rules and universities abroad.

Position Overview

Job title: Research & Development Specialist

Department: Research & Development

Reports to - Managing Director / Head of Operations

The specialist researches and tracks admission processes, country-wise student visa procedures and university information, and keeps that knowledge accurate and up to date so counsellors can give students correct, current advice.

Key Responsibilities

Admission Process Research

• Research and document admission requirements for undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and foundation programs in priority destination countries.
• Track intakes, application deadlines, entry requirements (academic results, IELTS/TOEFL/PTE/Duolingo, GRE/GMAT/SAT), application fees and required documents.
• Monitor changes to admission policies, gap-year acceptance, credit transfer and scholarship criteria.
• Prepare step-by-step admission guides and checklists for counsellors and students.

Visa Processing Research (Country-wise)

• Research and maintain current student visa procedures for each destination (e.g. UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, South Korea and others served by HAI Education).
• Track visa requirements: financial proof, sponsorship, bank statements, CAS/I-20/CoE/LOA, health checks, biometrics, interviews, processing times and fees.
• Follow embassy, high commission and immigration website updates, and alert the team immediately to any policy change.
• Track post-study work rights, dependent rules, part-time work limits and refusal trends.
• Maintain country-wise visa checklists and document templates for the processing team.

University Research

• Build and maintain a database of universities and colleges: rankings, programs, tuition fees, living costs, scholarships, intakes and location.
• Identify suitable institutions and programs that match different student profiles and budgets.
• Research partner and prospective partner institutions, including commission structures and agent agreements, to support business development.
• Compare universities by quality, cost, employability outcomes and visa success rates.

Knowledge Management & Team Support

• Keep a central, regularly updated knowledge base (country profiles, university lists, visa and admission guides).
• Share a weekly update on key changes in admissions and visa policy with management and counsellors.
• Train and brief counsellors on new destinations, programs and procedures.
• Answer complex student or counsellor queries that need in-depth research.
• Support marketing with accurate content for brochures, social media posts, seminars and the website.

Development & Market Insight

• Identify new study destinations, programs and opportunities for HAI Education to expand its services.
• Analyze market trends, competitor offerings and student demand in Bangladesh.
• Recommend improvements to internal processes, checklists and tools.
• Attend webinars, education fairs and university training sessions to stay current.
