∎ The SE must be a graduate from any Govt. or Govt recognized Polytechnic Institute in Bangladesh having completed 3 years Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering.
∎ An advanced certificate course in a related field will have an added advantage.
∎ Candidates having exposure in Pre-fab construction will be given preference.

∎ ABOUT MEDGLOBAL
∎ MedGlobal is an international medical organization registered in Bangladesh as a non-profit that provides health and nutrition services to people in need, including refugees and displaced persons, in disaster and underserved regions. The organization is composed of medical and public health volunteers of diverse backgrounds.
∎ MedGlobal Bangladesh will construct a Health Post (HP) in FDMN camp-24 at Leda in Cox`s Bazar district. The construction will be done in prefabricated construction methods. MedGlobal will appoint a Site Engineer (Diploma in Civil/structural engineering) during the construction works to supervise the quality of works as per specified materials, fittings and fixtures.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Duties & Responsibilities of Site Engineer:
∎ Quality of Materials
∎ The Site Engineer (SE) will be the technical representative of Medglobal Bangladesh in the construction site to oversee the quality of construction being done by the Contractor.
∎ SE will see, check and ensure the quality of construction materials before being used by the contractor.
∎ He will report to the Country Representative (CR) if any items are found below the benchmark/standard referred to in the BOQ.
∎ He will check and inspect the color, size and shapes of all construction materials that match with the BOQ.
∎ Construction Works
∎ SE will be physically present at the site at all times to ensure the construction works are being done in compliance with the Deed of Agreement that satisfies Bangladesh Construction and Building Code.
∎ He will keep an eye on the pace of construction so that the works are done on time.
∎ SE will confirm the ratio of sand, cement and chips are used as specified in the BOQ.
∎ Fixing of sensitive equipment, like, washroom gears, water tank, doors and window frames are to be paid special attention to.
∎ Curing factors for the construction are to be addressed.
∎ Safety of Personnel
∎ Ensure that the contractor complies with the standard safety precautions during construction at all times. No compromise whatsoever will be accepted in this regard.
∎ Construction Laborers are to wear standard safety gears and clothing, like, helmet, gloves, long boot, safety goggles etc. during construction works.
∎ Administrative
∎ SE will secure the construction site and mark the area.
∎ Contact with the local appropriate authority for electric connection and ensure availability of electricity before construction starts.
∎ Liaise with the Site Management Committee
∎ Ensure construction works at day time and no construction is done at night.
∎ Administer the HR requirements of Security Guards employed by MedGlobal.
∎ Reporting
∎ SE will submit "Weekly Progress Report" to the CR every Sunday by 11:00 AM in the given format clearly mentioning % works completed and status of progress.
∎ He will report any untoward incident, accident etc. immediately it takes place without delay.
∎ He will report instantly if substandard quality of product is used for construction or if he observes any deviation from standard practice of construction.
∎ In the last week of every month give a powerpoint presentation in Cox's Bazar office or in a designated place on progress of construction.
∎ Candidates having exposure in Pre-fab construction will be given preference.
∎ Out of scope work that are critical to the success of the program
∎ Liaise and coordinate with CiC office, local Sight Management Committee and other concerned for smooth completion of works
∎ Closely supervise and monitor the works of MedGlobal security staff
∎ DELIVERABLES
∎ SE will prepare a "Project Completion Report" to MG after the construction works are completed.
∎ SE will prepare a "Monitoring Report" to MG after the construction works are completed.
∎ Powerpoint presentation on progress of construction after completion of construction.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 35 years
∎ SE should have at least 3 years practical experience in supervising RCC and/or Steel structure /Pre-fab construction in any Govt or private construction or real estate company.
∎ Candidates having similar construction work experience in FDMN camp will get preference.
