Job Context:
∎ Duty station: Cox`s Bazar, Bangladesh
∎ Starting date: 01 January 2022
∎ Contract duration: 6 months (renewable)
∎ Reports to: Humanitarian Aid Delegate
∎ Coordinates with: Program Managers, Officers and Partners.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum seven years of relevant professional experience.
∎ Awareness of transitional shelter and settlements options including technical design, host family support and camps.
∎ Experience with NGOs in management including but not limited to construction management.
∎ Sound knowledge and experience in rehabilitation/reconstruction/retrofitting and design, direct construction supervision, contract administration, surveying and levelling, quantity surveying.
∎ Good knowledge and experience in the disaster risk reduction, emergency preparedness and response context is a plus.
∎ Coordination and negotiation skills with a range of different stakeholders including local authorities, UN agencies, NGOs, Clusters/Sectors.
∎ Previous experience in running NFI distribution programmes.
∎ Previous experience of programme management.
∎ Experience of and commitment to working through systems of community participation and accountability.
∎ Budget management and excellent computer skills.
∎ Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation.
∎ Experience of training and capacity building staff.
∎ Some experience of representation and ability to represent HEKS/EPER effectively in external forums.
∎ Knowledge of institutional donors and experience of developing proposals.
∎ Ability to write clear and well-argued assessment and project reports.
∎ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with working experience in liaising with governmental authorities and local communities as well as national and international institutions.
∎ Willing to work at least 30% at the field level.
∎ Fluent English skills (written and spoken).
∎ Knowledge in Cox's bazar local dialect is an asset.
∎ Ability to establish collaborative relationships with staff, beneficiaries and other stakeholders.
∎ Strong attitude to take initiative, work autonomously and achieve results effectively.
∎ Flexibility and Stress-management.
∎ Respect of HEKS/EPER mission and values.
