Job Context:
∎ The aim of the project is "To reduce the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the lives of women, men, girls and boys with disabilities, their families and other at-risk communities in higher risk districts of Bangladesh through strengthened leadership capacities of organizations of persons with disabilities in Bangladesh".
∎ Considering COVID-19 Pandemic, the project will focus on activities related to inclusive COVID-19 health facilities, mental health care provision, inclusive basic assistance support and disability mainstreaming in COVID-19 response, including inclusion into social protection opportunities.
∎ The Centre for Disability in Development (CDD) is inviting applications from competent candidates for the following positions for immediate recruitment for a project on Inclusive COVID-19 Response supported by CBM.
∎ This project will be implemented by CDD, Umbrella Organizations of Persons with Disabilities and in partnerships with Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) in different locations of Bangladesh.
∎ The duration of this project is till December 31, 2020.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Support Project Coordinator for the implementation of the project component on inclusive mental health from community to national level.
∎ Implement all mental health related activities under the project
∎ Ensure technical quality of implemented activities under Mental Health component (with support from MH working group and HQ focal point)
∎ Collect, translate and contextualize / Develop capacity building packages for peer responders for mental well-being (who will be persons with disabilities)
∎ Coordinate and organization of all mental health focused capacity building process
∎ Facilitate the helpline set-up of Mental Health Peer Counselors with UOs and OPDs using toll-free hotline.
∎ Facilitate setting up of National Level MH support helpline in collaboration with UOs and OPDs using toll-free hotline.
∎ Facilitate coaching & mentoring support to the peer responders for mental well-being
∎ Working directly with persons with disabilities and OPDs to increase the skills on psychosocial support and peer counselling.
∎ Take initiatives to arranging psychosocial service at local level for people with disabilities in collaboration with OPDs.
∎ Organize capacity development initiative for mental health professionals on disability etiquettes and provision of on call and online inclusive services
∎ Process documentation of the pilot model and write-up a policy brief and develop IEC Materials
∎ Develop ToR and agreement with the institution or organizational/association or individual psychologists to extend support
∎ Integrate the model into existing services by including new HOT Line numbers with additional mental health professional support.
∎ Advocating with concerned authorities for approval to replicate and integrate the model within existing structure and systems
Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Practical experience of working in the field of Mental Health including peer counselling
∎ Experience on development of capacity building packages, process documentation, policy brief and IEC Materials
∎ Have practical skills on inclusive facilitation of sessions
∎ Have experience of working with disability issues Good networking relationship with Mental Health professionals and their networks
∎ Understanding on advocacy campaign will be given preference
∎ Effective communication skills, both spoken and written on English and Bangla

Salary:
∎ Tk. 75000 - 80000 (Monthly)
∎ Prorate basis Bonus
