∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Agriculture

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Mission 1: Implementation of FSL and DRR activities including homestead-based food production and Enhanced climate-adaptive livelihood opportunities
∎ Ensure timely and efficient implementation of program activities under the guidance of the PM and according to the Detailed Implementation Plan and work-plan.
∎ Support PM in development of project follow-up and supervision tools and apply at field.
∎ Supervise beneficiaries & Model Mother selection process
∎ Guide set up of demonstration of model gardens.
∎ Assist staffs for conducting household asset analysis
∎ Assist PM in establishment of a beneficiary’s database system with analysis
∎ Assist PM for distributing livelihood cash grant at beneficiaries level
∎ Promote Village Savings and Loan Association (VSLA) approach and financial inclusion
∎ Establishment of functional linkages with public and private sector service providers
∎ Connecting the beneficiaries with local info-hubs or Union Digital Centres (UDC) for accessing the livelihood related information
∎ Support PM in Collaboration with local on-farm research centres/horticulture centres for introduction of climate adaptive varieties
∎ Provide support to project staffs for conducting awareness raising sessions on nutrition education, food safety and hygiene practices
∎ Mission 2: Project staff and beneficiary capacity building
∎ Development of training module and guideline or revision/modification of the existing training materials
∎ Support PM for training needs assessment of the project beneficiaries
∎ Development of tools for training and conduct project staff capacity building training
∎ Provide training and technical assistance to staff and beneficiary on climate adaptive and diversified livelihood – household asset analysis, IGA selection, business plan development, bookkeeping and accountancy etc.
∎ Provide assistance to staffs for capacity building and training to the different stakeholders.
∎ Provide training on homestead gardening, back yard poultry and resilient livelihoods to the beneficiaries.
∎ Arrange on-job coaching of the project staffs during project implementation.
∎ Mission 3: Project activities monitoring, reporting and documentation.
∎ Regular monitoring and follow-up the project’s progress and provide need base support and suggestion
∎ Ensure collection and documentation of quantitative and qualitative information from the field
∎ Visit field on a regular basis and provide assistance to the team and project beneficiaries as needed
∎ Write up project challenges, lessons, case story and IGA monitoring reports
∎ Facilitate post distribution monitoring, IGA monitoring and baseline and end-line data collection and database development and analysis.
∎ Document qualitative information from the field and provide all information to the PM, FSL DHoD and HoD for analysis and reporting.
∎ Assist PM in developing activity progress report (APR), training report, success story etc.
∎ Mission 4: Support for internal and external coordination and networking.
∎ Ensure proper communication among the different stakeholders at local level.
∎ Participate in internal and external coordination meetings with food security and DRR actors at Upazila level (ensure minutes of meetings when necessary);
∎ Facilitate and participate staff meeting, lesson learn workshop, exit meeting etc.
∎ Assist PM to ensure the reporting to authorities the project objectives and achievements when necessary
∎ Liaison with government service providers at union and Upazila level.
∎ Linkage development with market actors and local market hubs for better access to inputs and fair price of the products
∎ Mission 5: Participate in need assessments and surveys when necessary
∎ Support for designing tools for FSL survey/assessments, facilitate staff orientation, data collection/compilation, analysis, & report development.
∎ Participate in developing different monitoring tools (baseline & end line survey, post distribution monitoring (PDM), Food Security Surveillance Survey (FSS)
∎ Assist in organising and conducting baseline & end line survey, PDM, FSS
∎ Participate in food security joint need assessments and surveys when needed
∎ Participate in emergency food security response if any kind of disaster occurred

Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience required in food security & livelihoods related projects.
∎ Minimum 2 years of proven work experience of working in FSL & DRR program department in INGO.
∎ Good technical background on food security, livelihoods cash grants, household asset analysis, IGA promotion and agriculture technology.
∎ Clear understanding on mainstreaming DRR in FSL interventions.
∎ Experience in community based organization development, model mother approach, farmer field school, VSLA, multiple livelihoods strategies, homestead based food production, climate change adaptation, and resilient livelihoods, etc. will be an asset.
∎ Experience in surveys, assessments, applied research and agricultural technology promotion, an advantage.
∎ Good supervision and leadership skills
∎ Good analytical and presentation skills
∎ Good communication and coordination skills
∎ Familiar with PRA tools & techniques, organizing & conducting FGD, KII, IGD
∎ Household asset analysis
∎ Data analysis and report preparation
∎ Cash-based interventions,
∎ Good training and facilitation skills.
∎ Good knowledge on program monitoring and Computer knowledge (Word, Excel, Power Point),
∎ Good English skills (verbally and writing),
∎ Autonomy and flexibility

Salary:
∎ Tk. 71000 (Monthly)
∎ Festival Bonus: 02 basic salary per year. Provident Fund: 7.5% of Basic Salary. End of Contract Benefits: End of Contract Benefits: 30 days of salary per year of service (No eligibility pro-rated under 1 year) Medical coverage: 80% hospitalization coverage medical expenses (max limit BDT 120,000 per year). Life and accident insurance from joining day Maternity Benefit: 3 (three) basic salary.
