Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Support the Internal Audit team in the execution and reporting phases of operational / strategic audit mandates per the internal audit plan and as appropriate, any special project requested by management and the Audit & Finance Committee
∎ Lead the planning, execution and reporting phases of rotational audit mandates per the internal audit plan
∎ Identify risks and internal control gaps and develop solutions to strengthen controls, improve profitability and aid management decision-making capability
∎ Participate in the development and enhancement of internal audit approaches/templates and methodology to optimize the use and effectiveness of team resources
∎ Maintain an organized and well documented internal audit function following the fundamental principles, standards and guidance provided by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA)
∎ Active involvement in special projects and investigations
∎ The Senior Internal Auditor will be part of a dynamic team in providing independent, objective assurance and advisory services designed to add value and improve Gildan's operations. In the role, the incumbent will assist in the development and execution of an internal audit program helping the organization accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes. ∎ Reports to the Director, Internal Audit and work closely with various teams and business leaders throughout the organization. This position is based in the Bangladesh Office (Dhaka) and reporting into head-office based in Montreal.
