Additional Job Requirements

• 5-6 years’ relevant work experience in the Accounts, Tax & VAT department.

• Should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, Tax Act, VAT Act and other regulatory requirements.

• Having prior Liaison office experience will be an added advantage.

• Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion.

• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

• Excellent problem solving/analytical skills

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide meaningful insights.

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.

• Should be well-groomed, smart and energetic

• Strong presentation and delivery skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication both in Bangla and English

• IT proficiency - advanced level skill is a MUST in MS Office package (Especially PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook)

We are currently hiring for the position of Senior Executive – Accounts, Tax & VAT at our HQ, in the heart of

Job Responsibilities and context

• To process operational bills by ensuring compliance with company policies, VAT & tax acts and other applicable laws in Bangladesh.

• Prepare various vouchers including Debit, Credit, and Journal Vouchers.

• To ensure financial transactions are booked daily in ERP Software and maintain accurate records.

• Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements.

• Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards.

• Monitor and analyze financial data, identifying areas of improvement, and providing recommendations for cost reduction and process optimization.

• Must have clear knowledge about VDS & TDS deduction from various bills.

• Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards, Tax & VAT Act, relevant regulations, and best practices, and implement necessary adjustments to accounting processes and procedures.

• Prepare TDS, VDS challan & submit to authorized banks within stipulated time.

• Regularly Check Mushak Challan (Mushok - 6.3) and issue VAT Deduction at Source (VDS) Certificate (Mushok-6.6) against Suppliers` bills of the company.

• Submitting monthly Tax & VAT statements to respective Tax & VAT Zones per the prescribed format of NBR.

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies, to ensure compliance and facilitate financial audits.
