Job Context:
∎ GIZ Bangladesh is currently seeking applications for its project "Energy Efficiency and Grid Integration of Renewable Energy (EEGIRE)" for the position "Senior Advisor- Coordination and Implementation".
∎ Band: 5T
∎ Contract Duration: Up to 31 May 2021 (with possibility of extension until 31 May 2024)
∎ Job Location: Dhaka (Occasional Field Visit Required)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Overall implementation management and coordination of the project EEGIRE as Officer Responsible for Project Implementation (EEGIRE-DV) in line with GIZ rules and regulation
∎ Represent GIZ to stakeholders and ensure that GIZ values, principles are upheld
∎ Independently managing the component on Electricity Distribution of the EEGIRE Project in accordance with project goals and requirements
∎ Providing professional advice to partners and cooperating with important stakeholders
∎ Ensure safeguarding the quality of process of the project
∎ Advise supervisor on all task when implementing GIZ rules and regulation
∎ Responsible to make decisions which have a long-term effect within a limited project area/ unit
∎ Ensure innovation and knowledge management is adequate within the project and communicate innovations to a broad target group
∎ Disciplinary supervisory responsibility of subordinates and management of a team.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 8 years of professional experience, preferably in Energy Sector
∎ Professional working experience in the Green Energy field will get preference
∎ Minimum 3 years of experience in managerial position with leadership experience in a Government Organisation/ Non-Government Organisation/ International Organisation
∎ Working Experience with Government of Bangladesh or its partner agencies would add value
∎ Previous job experience in GIZ will be an asset
