Responsibilities & Context: - Ensures the safety of guests, employees and company property.
- Routinely inspect the properties.
- Plans, examines, analyzes, evaluates, and supervises the security operations, inclusive of physical security assets, security personnel, and fire team.
- Prepares reports and records for management team.
- Evaluates current procedures, practices and precedents for accomplishing the activities and functions relative to security.
- Develops preventative security programs, including the supervision of security personnel.
- Performs audits of security related performance and conducts physical surveys of premise security, including security equipment condition.
- Conducts, supervises and prepares reports relating to internal investigations of any losses or violations of the regulations, policies and procedures; develops, implements and manages security training.
- Defense/Military officer background will be preference.
- In-country contextual understanding and operational experience.
- Solid network and relationship with relevant security stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
- Good stress management skills - ability to think and work quickly and calmly under pressure.
- High level of proficiency with computer applications including Word, Excel, Microsoft Office, Outlook.
- Languages: Fluency in English and Bangla. Good command in Local language is preferable.
- Assists in preparation of emergency management and contingency planning.
- Sets deadlines to ensure completion of operational security functions.
- Coach subordinates to perform their functions efficiently including develop them to be better at work.
- Interprets and disseminates the policy to subordinate personnel; and evaluates employee performance.
- Initiates personnel actions such as recruitment, selections, transfers, promotions and discipline or dismissal measures.
- Controls office expenses through careful use of all resources & promotes this to be one of the required habits among all colleagues.
- Performs any other related duties as assigned by the Managing Director.
