Job Context:
∎ Security guard you must be alert and professional. A good security guard is aware of all visitors to the property and ensures that no inappropriate actions take place.
∎ Security guard to ensure that our property is protected. The security guard is responsible for recording the names of visitors, patrolling the property and apprehending any trespassers.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Controlling the entrance and departure of employees, visitors and vehicles according to protocols
∎ Ensure that guests sign in upon arrival and exit.
∎ Make guests aware of rules that must be adhered to.
∎ Remove trespassers or unwanted individuals from the property.
∎ Contact the relevant authorities if a crime is committed or an accident occurs.
∎ Report to supervisors on a regular basis.
∎ Record any suspicious activities to the supervisor.
∎ Patrolling and monitoring activities on the company’s premises regularly to discourage criminals and ensure the environment is safe and secure
∎ Evicting trespassers and violators and detaining perpetrators while following legal protocols before relevant authorities arrive to take over
∎ Monitoring surveillance cameras to watch out for any disruptions or unlawful activities
∎ Providing detailed reports on daily activities and any incidents that may have occurred to management
∎ Testing security systems and, if needed, operating X-ray machines and metal detectors
∎ Using provided communication devices such as two-way radios in a clear and concise manner
∎ Performing CPR or first aid when needed
∎ Check all perimeters and doors on a regular basis during the shift.
∎ Maintain a sharp eye to traffic coming and going on the property
