Responsibilities & Context:
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Sales Assistant to join our Pentel showroom team at Dhaka New Market. As a Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling billing, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring the shop remains clean and well-organized. A passion for stationery and strong communication skills are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Sales
Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Provide information about Pentel products and help customers make purchase decisions.
Maintain a good understanding of the brand’s product range and promotions.
Billing & Transactions
Operate the cash register/point of sale (POS) system efficiently.
Handle billing and payment processes accurately and responsibly.
Shop Maintenance
Ensure the showroom is clean, tidy, and presentable at all times.
Clean shelves, counters, and floors regularly as part of daily upkeep.
Stock Management
Keep track of inventory and report stock shortages or discrepancies.
Receive and organize new stock deliveries.
Maintain proper stock display and labelling.
Merchandising
Rearrange and restock shelves to ensure products are displayed neatly.
Ensure that high-demand and promotional items are prominently displayed.
Communication & Teamwork
Communicate effectively with team members and management.
Assist in showroom events, sales campaigns, or product launches when needed.
