Responsibilities & Context:
1. Mooring & unmooring the ships on floating dock & jetties
2. Executing pilot & dock master instructions in the ship maneuvering
3.Remove, move, relocate and install heavy machines, equipment, large structural parts and other heavy loads by directing the operation of cranes and similar equipment and directing riggings of helpers in order to execute the rigging operation safely.
4. Able to select the correct lifting arrangement in accordance with planned lifting operation
5. Monitor the condition of all lifting gear before and during the operations and report immediately any damage to prevent accident.
6. Perform all the duties as directed by the Team Leader and ensure that only certified gear is used before lifting operations.

7. Follow all relevant section’s or department’s policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

8. Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.
Reporting
Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate statements or reports to meet section or department’s requirements, policies and quality standards.

Maintain an awareness of all health and safety rules applying to the assigned tasks and tools to ensure that safe working practices are observed.
Use of Tools & Equipment
* Maintain competence in the use of all tools or equipment required for the assigned works.
