Additional Requirements:
  • Age 23 to 35 years
  • A minimum of a Master’s degree in Social Sciences or a related discipline (e.g. Sociology, Anthropology, Development Studies, Economics, International Relations etc.)

  • Proven experience in academic writing and research, especially in social sciences or related fields

  • Adequate knowledge of both quantitative and qualitative research methods, and data collection and analysis tools (e.g. SPSS/Stata/ R/ Python/NVivo) 

  • Strong writing skills in both English and Bengali

  • Experience in writing journal articles, book chapters, and other academic documents

  • Knowledge of citation and referencing standards

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Previous experience in systematic literature reviews and research methodology

  • Familiarity with academic publishing platforms and submission processes



Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context: We are seeking a dedicated and talented Research Assistant/ Writing Assistant to support our research projects. The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills in both English and Bengali, coupled with previous research experience. This position requires critical thinking, systematic literature review expertise, and the ability to write effectively under deadlines. The role involves producing high-quality journal articles, book chapters, and other scholarly documents that adhere to the specific guidelines of journals.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct systematic literature reviews to support ongoing research projects

  • Write and edit research papers, journal articles, book chapters, and other publications, ensuring conformity with journal submission guidelines

  • Provide critical thinking and contribute valuable insights to research discussions

  • Assist in data analysis, report preparation, and literature synthesis

  • Ensure timely delivery of drafts and final versions of research papers

  • Collaborate closely with the research team to develop and refine research findings
