Job Context
NewVision is hiring for a Japanese globally renowned retail brand. As the company establishes its presence in Bangladesh through its Dhaka Liaison Office, NewVision is seeking a highly skilled Quality Controller to play a pivotal role in this start-up phase.
This brand is celebrated worldwide for its philosophy of "Truthful and Sustainable Life for All," focusing on high-quality, functional, and ethical products across clothing and miscellaneous goods.
Quality & Delivery Control: Oversee the quality and delivery schedules for Woven, Cut and Sew, and Knit Sweaters.
Product Scope: Control the quality of clothing (including T-shirts, pants, shirts, outerwear, and innerwear) as well as miscellaneous goods such as bags, shoes, and sandals.
Factory Instruction: Provide direct instruction to factories to improve production quality and conduct factory production environment checks.
Quality Documentation: Manage and maintain all quality-related documentation for products.
Defect Investigation: Conduct prompt investigations into the causes of quality defects and implement necessary improvement measures.
Reporting & Communication: Prepare reports and handle communication and consultation regarding production management.
Meeting Coordination: Report to relevant parties through regular or irregular online meetings.
Strategic Planning: Formulate measures to predict and prevent quality problems during the product development stage.
Production Lifecycle Management: Oversee production, product development, production management, and quality control, including providing guidance to factories.
Travel: Undertake both domestic and international business trips as required.
Materials Management: Manage auxiliary materials necessary for product manufacturing.
Pre-production Confirmation: Confirm the quality of products that are mass-produced ahead of schedule.
Leadership & Soft Skills: Build trust and foster teamwork among diverse members while managing and resolving issues through effective communication.
Team Management: Achieve results in the above tasks through effective team management.
Staff Development: Actively develop subordinates and staff members to strengthen the organization.
Educational & Language Skills:
Proficiency in Business English is required.
Japanese language proficiency is highly valued and will be compensated accordingly.
Ability to perform basic PC operations (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Internet) without problems.
Professional Experience:
Must have minimum 5 years to maximum 10 years of Quality Control (QC) experience.
Proven experience and knowledge as a clothing production management, quality control, or planning and development professional.
Experience working as a team leader or manager with the ability to create a positive company culture and develop talent.
