JOB SUMMARY: The Project Officer (Nurse) is responsible for delivering quality nursing care within primary healthcare and mobile clinic settings, ensuring patient safety, proper case management, and adherence to clinical protocols. The role includes supporting doctors during consultations, managing patient triage, administering treatments, and promoting preventive healthcare. The Nurse plays a key role in ensuring efficient service delivery and maintaining infection prevention and control standards in humanitarian contexts.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Objective 1: Provide quality nursing care and clinical support.
• Deliver nursing care according to clinical protocols and standards.
• Assist doctors during consultations and medical procedures.
• Administer medications, injections, and basic treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient conditions and provide follow-up care.
Objective 2: Conduct triage and manage patient flow.
• Perform initial patient screening and triage.
• Measure and record vital signs accurately.
• Prioritize emergency and vulnerable cases appropriately.
• Support organized patient flow within the health facility.
Objective 3: Support maternal, child health, and nutrition services.
• Assist in antenatal and postnatal care services.
• Monitor child health and support growth monitoring activities.
• Screen and identify malnutrition cases.
• Support immunization and child health programs.
Objective 4: Ensure infection prevention and patient safety.
• Follow strict infection prevention and control (IPC) protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of clinical areas.
• Ensure proper sterilization of equipment and safe waste disposal.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately.
Objective 5: Maintain documentation and reporting standards.
• Record patient information, treatment, and services accurately.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient records.
• Update registers and reporting tools regularly.
• Support data collection for monitoring and evaluation.
Objective 6: Support outreach and emergency response activities.
• Participate in mobile clinics and outreach health services.
• Support emergency cases and high patient load situations.
• Assist in health campaigns and public health interventions.
• Adapt to emergency conditions and evolving priorities.
Objective 7: Promote health education and preventive care.
• Educate patients on hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention.
• Provide counseling on maternal and child health practices.
• Promote awareness of communicable and non-communicable diseases.

Objective 9: Ensure the implementation of Qatar Charity’s safeguarding standards, including PSEA and GBV prevention, across all project activities to maintain a safe and accountable environment.
• Implement and monitor safeguarding measures, ensuring compliance with Qatar Charity’s PSEA and GBV policies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Abide by QC’s Child Protection and Safeguarding related policies to keep children and young people safe and to respond to concerns about a child's safety or wellbeing.
• Establish and maintain confidential, accessible reporting channels for safeguarding concerns and ensure timely response and escalation.
• Collaborate with HR and relevant departments to integrate safeguarding into field activities.
• Ensure risk assessments include safeguarding considerations and mitigation strategies for all project activities.
