Job Context:
∎ Job Location: Rangabali Upazila under Patuakhali District.
∎ Project Duration: 11 Months.
∎ JAGO NARI working in the development sector since 1998 for women empowerment and reduce inequality at coastal district of Bangladesh. JAGO NARI is seeking a Project Manager (PM) for “Integrated services to empower adolescents and women affected by climate change in remote areas of Patuakhali, Southern Bangladesh Project” funded by IRC. This position will be project period.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Project Manager (PM) will dedicate 100% of her/his time to this project.
∎ He or She will be responsible to prepare detail implementation plan reviewing the overall project plan, budget, targets under the technical guidance of IRC.
∎ Ensure supportive supervision to the team to achieve the project objectives.
∎ Estimate budget forecasts, monitor expenditure and fund utilization for necessary adjustment
∎ Support Union Officer and Field Facilitators to prepare micro plan (monthly and quarterly) for Upazila and unions.
∎ Ensure project implementation in compliance with JAGO NARI and donor policies, procedures, and strategies.
∎ Ensure successful implementation of the project with quality and in timely.
∎ Prepare fund request & liquidation documents to submit IRC Bangladesh timely
∎ Monitor and control the budget for implement the activities as per project budget planning.
∎ Coordinate Union Officers and Union Mobilizers in effective implementation of micro plans
∎ Organize advocacy, coordination and sharing meeting with district & upazila administration, and other stakeholders as per project requirements
∎ Review progress against plan on monthly basis and take appropriate corrective action (as needed).
∎ Conduct 30% field visit of the working hours with staff according to their work plan and provide constructive feedback (if needed). Share field findings with JAGO NARI management for their support and guidance.
∎ Develop and ensure appropriate tools and strategy to monitor progress and impact of the project.
∎ Data collection, analysis and prepare report for JAGO NARI and IRC.
∎ Facilitate joint monitoring visit of JAGO NARI high officials and donor.
∎ Produce analytical donor report and ensure timely submission of reports as required
∎ Ensure the financial and human resources are used properly by the implementing and maintained proper authentic documents as per expectation of donor and Govt. of Bangladesh.
∎ Conduct field visit as per need, keep proper documentation to make visible the project outcomes.
∎ Play lead role to develop annual plan, periodic report, documentation of learning, case study and relevant documents as per organizational and donor requirements.
∎ Plan, implement and monitor budget and take proactive measures to keep the burn rate as an expected level.
∎ Identify strengths and weakness of the inputs and take necessary corrective measures.
∎ Support the project team in carrying out designated works.
∎ Coordinate with the accounts department to ensure the smooth operation of the project.
∎ Authorize the purchase and advance requisition of the project.
∎ Arrange training programs, meetings with management committees, other partner NGOs and different other stakeholders including LGI, government officials etc.
∎ Coordinate with the visitors, evaluation, and/or audit teams.
∎ Take any necessary steps with consent of the JAGO NARI authority and the Donors in cases of emergency needs of the project.
∎ Project manager is responsible for the smooth operation of the project by ensuring proper monitoring and supervision.
∎ Project manager is also responsible to conduct other works assigned by the Program Coordinator and Chief Executive.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience Requirements: At least 5 years of experience in development sector as Same Position.
∎ Age: Age At most 45 year(s) but it should be relaxed for experienced candidate
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): protection, climate change, Monitoring, Project Manager/ Project Coordinator/ Officer, Research, Supervision
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO
∎ Excellent English/ Bangla language skills.
∎ Excellent communication and influencing skills.
∎ Computer skills on MS word, Excel, Power point.
∎ Proven track record of project management and excellent project finance management skills.
∎ Excellent relationship management skills.
∎ At least 5 years work experience in development sector on Protection, Health, GBV, SRHR in Managerial position Professional qualification in project management will be an added advantage.
Salary:
∎ 50000 (Fifty thousand only) Taka Monthly.
