Position Summary
The Project Manager (Hospital Project) will be responsible for planning, executing, and completing hospital construction or renovation projects within scope, budget, and timeline. This role requires close coordination with architects, engineers, contractors, regulatory authorities, medical planners, vendors, and hospital leadership to ensure high-quality, compliant healthcare facilities aligned with Bangladesh’s healthcare standards and Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW) guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination
Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, timelines, milestones, and budget.
Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and risk evaluations.
Work with medical planners to ensure facility layout aligns with healthcare workflows and infection-control standards.
Stakeholder Management
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, architects, and biomedical teams.
Facilitate communication between internal departments (Clinical, Operations, Procurement, Finance).
Conduct regular project meetings and update leadership with progress reports.
Construction & Implementation Oversight
Monitor site work to ensure adherence to drawings, specifications, and Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC).
Ensure compliance with MoHFW, DGDA, Department of Environment, and Fire Service & Civil Defense regulations.
Oversee procurement and installation of medical equipment, IT systems, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) works.
Budget & Cost Control
Prepare and manage project budgets; track expenses and approvals.
Evaluate vendor proposals and negotiate contracts to ensure cost efficiency.
Conduct financial forecasting and variance analysis.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
Ensure hospital facilities meet JCI/NABH/Bangladesh quality standards where applicable.
Implement infection prevention standards in design and execution (e.g., airflow, zoning, waste management).
Conduct inspections and ensure timely rectification of defects.
Project Documentation
Maintain complete documentation: contracts, drawings, approvals, change orders, and handover reports.
Prepare project status reports for management and external auditors.
Handover & Commissioning
Coordinate testing & commissioning of hospital utilities and equipment.
Ensure training for clinical and facilities teams.
Deliver complete handover package including O&M manuals and as-built drawings.
