∎ At least 03 years of experience in a similar position. Familiar with the bio-physical and socio-economic conditions of the ecologically critical areas in Barind tract areas.Experience in developing and implementing the Market-Based Approach (MBA) to address and mitigate climate change challenges.Skills in project cycle management – planning, budgeting, technical and financial oversight.Good understanding of issues of climate change adaptation; gender equity, protection and multicultural intervention.Good communication, negotiation and problem-solving capacity.Ability to manage stress, multi-task and take decisions.Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);Good verbal and written communication skills in the local language, English and Bengali;Pro-active and participatory decision-making and problem-solving;Good interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.

∎ Eco-Social Development Organization (ESDO) started its journey in 1988 with a noble vision to stand in solidarity with the poor and marginalized. Being a peoples' centered organization, ESDO envisioned for a society which will be free from inequality and injustice, a society where no child will cry from hunger and no life will be ruined by poverty. Near about three decades of relentless efforts to make this happen, ESDO has embraced new grounds and opened up new horizons to help the disadvantaged and vulnerable people to bring meaningful and lasting changes in their lives. During this long span, ESDO has adapted with the changing situation and provided the most time-bound services especially for the poor and disadvantaged. A community focused and people centered approach has been adapted by ESDO while consideration was given to the national policy and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as its guiding principle. ESDO is one of the most dynamic organizations expanding its development interventions across 331 upazilas under 54 districts of Bangladesh covering over 10 million poor and vulnerable people.As partnership with Water Aid Bangladesh, ESDO is implementing the GO4IMPact Programme supporting local democratic governance and climate resilient public service provision in Bangladesh at Naogaon District. ESDO is inviting applications from interested qualified candidates for the position.
∎ Programme Implementation:The Project Manager will ensure timely and quality implementation of all components through regular monitoring and follow-ups including periodical report preparation for the donor and NGOAB, as well as support Knowledge Management team to produce learning and knowledge products.Provide support and contribute to review, update and develop field level implementation strategiesEnsure proper and timely implementation of supporting local democratic governance and climate resilient public service provision in Bangladesh to strengthen the adaptive capacity and climate resilience of vulnerable groups in the ecologically critical areas in Naogaon district.Support local democratic governance and climate resilient public service provision.
∎ Stakeholder Engagement:Project manager will facilitate communication between different stakeholders, such as government agencies, elected officials, community groups, and the public.Coordination and collaboration with local government & stakeholders. Planning, budgeting, and ReportingLead budget monitoring and tracking following the approved work plan throughout the project periodContribute to prepare and review six monthly/annual budget for field implementationContribute in preparation of quarterly/six monthly/annual reportProvide inputs to learning and knowledge products from NRM and regenerative agriculture perspectives.
∎ Capacity development support:Provide support in facilitating training to field staff on social mobilization, capacity building.Facilitate process to assess training needs, design curriculum, develop relevant resource materials to organize and facilitate training courses towards effective programme implementationCoordinate and facilitate all field visits, meetings with respective stakeholders.
∎ Monitoring and follow-upLead the process of beneficiary/participant selection, validation and distribution of packages and services as per the project plan and target.Support the MEL team to establish a functioning accountability mechanism and ensure closing the loop of all feedbackSupport the MEL team to conduct baseline, mid-line and end-line surveys and evaluations, scoping studies, process and periodical monitoring assessment tools and checklists from a climate-adaptive local democratic governance and climate resilient public service provision point of view.Monitor performance against planning towards progress on regularly basis addressing implementation processEstablish regular follow up to enhance quality service delivery
