Job Context:

∎ As partnership with Concern Worldwide, ESDO is implementing the Integrated Nutrition Project in Coxsbazar District. ESDO is inviting applications from interested qualified candidates for the position. Only ready to join applicants are invited to apply.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Program Manager will provide leadership and will ensure that all components of the Integrated Nutrition Program are functioning properly, providing quality care to all the beneficiaries while respecting guidelines and principles of good practice.
∎ He/She will lead on implementation of the key components of the programme mainly CMAM, IYCF_E, CMAMI initiative and other nutrition sensitive programming as well as strengthening the community outreach through Care Groups for SBCC.
∎ Liaises with:
∎ The Program Manager will liaise and coordinate with the Management team, System team, Nutrition field team and the MEAL team to ensure that nutrition activities and reports meet the high standard agreed and expected by project donors. The program Manager will also maintain a close coordination with the Technical as well as Management team of Donor agency and he/she needs to represent ESDO in different forums including nutrition sector, different working group meetings (CMAM-TWG, IYCF-TWG, AIM-TWG) as well as bilateral meeting with Donor based on need.
∎ Main duties & responsibilities:
∎ Develop an overall plan for nutrition activities in the in the program area, determine need for scale up, brief donors, and advocate for adequate resource allocation.
∎ Overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of project site activities and staff (such as CMAM, IYCF-E activities in IYCF-E corners, health education, growth monitoring and promotion, and all community outreach and SBCC and other nutrition sensitive activities).
∎ Strengthen additional programmatic initiatives such as C-MAMI, Care groups, and explore nutrition support to other vulnerable groups, ensuring accountability and inclusion.
∎ Lead the development of proposals and budgets to seek adequate funding for emergency nutrition activities (CMAM, IYCF-E) and other initiatives for preventive nutrition services and nutrition sensitive programming.
∎ Develop robust M&E system to capture quality of activities (including on CMAM reporting, quality of breastfeeding assessments, re-lactation, BMS monitoring, counselling skills etc) and to ensure appropriate reporting and accountability)
∎ Design and/or adapt materials for dissemination key nutrition messages including on appropriate IYCF-E practices based on key messages for key target groups with close coordination with Donor counterpart;
∎ Provide technical guidance to support staff (on IYCF-E, CMAM, C-MAMI and others as necessary) and MoH and other humanitarian actors as necessary to promote consistent good practice;
∎ Support and participate in the process of Conducting an in-depth analysis of IYCF practices in the target population (using a KAP, Barrier Analysis or additional survey methods) facilitated by sector and donor agencies.
∎ Explore opportunities from strengthening SBCC and community mobilization to strengthen preventive approaches to malnutrition at household level, as well as CMAM beneficiary defaulter tracing, prevention of relapsing and non-response to treatment.
∎ Prepare weekly and monthly technical reports and provide technical input into quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports according to donor requirements and organizational procedures
∎ Establish mechanism(s) to ensure appropriate support for targeted infants who cannot be breastfed in the different locations (these should follow international guidance and be feasible and pragmatic);
∎ Develop preparedness plans for monsoon interventions on nutrition support and management of particular vulnerable children and other vulnerable groups like people with disabilities and elderly, as needed.
∎ To perform any other tasks and responsibilities as may be required from time to time in order to ensure the smooth running of the team, the senior management team, cross-departmental teams, the ESDOHead office teams and Donor team.
∎ Prepare annual and quarterly work plan and budget that identify key objectives, responsible staff, deliverables and potential roadblocks
∎ Training and Capacity Building:
∎ Assess the training needs of nutrition staff; develop a training program to meet these needs with technical support from Donor’s technical unit; conduct nutrition training for project nutrition staff and MOH counterparts implementing nutrition programs, focusing on all aspects of community-based management of acute malnutrition (CMAM), IYCF, behavior change communication, C-MAMI, GMP, etc
∎ Provide structured supportive supervision focusing on the key nutrition activities CMAM, IYCF-E counselling skills;
∎ Advocacy and Communication:
∎ Ensure a close coordination with the program management and technical unit of Donor regarding overall project implementation and management following standard protocol and sectoral guidance.
∎ Ensure substantial representation in the nutrition sector and support relevant working groups including IYCF-E working group.
∎ Facilitate cross-sectoral programming, particularly to promote excellent communication and referral between IYCF-E, CMAM, BSFP, health, FSL and other programming;
∎ Contribute to the process of implementing quality programmes by ensure that the Core Humanitarian Standard on Quality and Accountability are effectively implemented throughout the organisation, and at the country programme level. This is including, but not limited to:
∎ Additional Roles
∎ Promote and ensure compliance with the requirements of ESDO and Donor’s HR policies, Code of Conduct and other associated policies and Core Humanitarian Standards of Accountability to ensure protection to programme beneficiaries, and to welcome feedback.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 42 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Around (5) Five years working experince in the community nutrition filed including at least two (2) years experince in the similar context and project.
∎ Should have good knbowledge about the Rohinya camp context as well as Rohingya response program.
∎ Substantial experience and a track record of success in delivering high quality emergency nutrition programes (including CMAM and IYCF-E) including monitoring and evaluation.
∎ Demonstrated experience in designing and leading IYCF-E assessments
∎ Proven capacity to supervise, train and coach staff;
∎ Strong skills in coordination and the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders, including nutrition clusters, partners and the Ministry of Health
∎ Highly developed writing skills (English) – both at a programmatic level (assessment reports, proposals) and a policy level (policy papers, guidance notes)
∎ Strong communications skills (both written and verbal Bengali and English) at a level appropriate for high-level external representation (lobbying, presentations)
∎ Ability to analyse diverse information and develop recommendations for an appropriate response to emergencies
∎ Demonstrated capacity in delivering high quality training in CMAM, IYCF-E, GMP and other nutrition sensitive activities
∎ Willingness and capacity to be flexible and accommodating when faced with difficult and
∎ Practical experience in CMAM, IYCF-E, CMAMI and other related nutrition programming
∎ Practical experience of the cluster approach at country and global level.
∎ Pro- active with an ability to think analytically, identifying opportunities and mechanisms to broaden programming,
∎ Strong team player who is results oriented with excellent planning and organisational skills
∎ Ability to problem solve and good decision making skills
∎ Ability to work in challenging environments.

Salary:
∎ Tk. 135000 (Monthly)
∎ As per final budget the salary could be changed

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Two festival bonuses @ 50% of one month gross salary per year & Boishakhi Allowance @10% of gross salary.
