Job Context:
∎ The Centre for Disability in Development (CDD) is a not for profit organization established in 1996 to develop a more inclusive society for persons with disabilities. CDD simultaneously builds technical capacities of the development stakeholders and the communities in how to be more inclusive whilst also enabling persons with a disability to participate in society by strengthening their leadership and providing them with essential rehabilitation and other supports.
∎ CDD is one of the most renowned organizations in the field of disability-inclusive development. CDD`s work in Bangladesh is supported by international and national donor agencies/development partners. CDD offers an inclusive, amicable, and respectable work environment.
∎ The Ramon Magsaysay Award (Asian version of the Noble prize) has been awarded to its Executive Director in 2010. In 2018, CDD was recognized by the Government of Bangladesh as one of the best organizations working on disability and development issues.
∎ Since November 2017, CDD in partnership with CBM is implementing humanitarian response for the Rohingyas and Host Communities in Ukhia, Cox`s Bazar. As per operational strategy January 1, 2021-September 30,2021, the current key activities of the response consist of (1) the provision of multidisciplinary rehabilitation services, (2) running of a Therapy Corner to provide rehabilitation and other related services for the Children with severe impairments, and (3) technical support to mainstream organizations, advocacy with sectors to include persons with disabilities in the humanitarian action

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Key function - 1: Project management
∎ Oversee the day-to-day activities of Rehab/HBR Team of the project to ensure effective implementation of project.
∎ Manage the Rehab professionals, Therapy Assistants, Community Mobilizers under the supervision of Rehab Manager.
∎ Identify team goals and evaluate team progress.
∎ Maintain close collaboration with Inclusion Manager to implement project's Inclusion related activities & guide Inclusion Officer accordingly.
∎ Attend different field level meetings & work for maintaining the collaboration & coordination with different field/camp authorities under the supervision of Rehab Operations Manager.
∎ Closely work with Rehab Operation Manager for securing project CIC permission and maintaining camp level govt. compliances.
∎ Liaise, coordinate with relevant authorities to plan, organise and follow up of Hearing & Visual out-reach camps.
∎ Compile the Assistive Devices demand for clients & submit to the Rehab Manager and plan for distribution.
∎ Work closely with Rehab Manager & Rehab Operations Manager during preparation of Monthly report and contributing in narrative.
∎ Follow up the client referral from HBR to other organizations.
∎ Developing case studies, lessons learned and representing in appropriate forum.
∎ Contribute in project monitoring and evaluation (provide support in field visit of visitors).
∎ Regular field visit
∎ Key function - 2: Technical oversight
∎ The Project Focal also responsible for coordinating, consolidating, and ensuring smooth implementation of Rehab services in the working area in the Rohingya camp under the supervision of Rehab Manager.
∎ S/he will work for ensuring the quality of Rehab services in the Rohingya Community under the supervision of Rehab Manager.
∎ Conduct case discussion, training needs assessment, and share with Rehab Manager.
∎ Support Rehab Manager in developing CPE strategy, module and organizing appropriate events.
∎ Key function - 3: On-site technical support
∎ Provide therapeutic service at the Rohingya community as a part of HBR activities (need based) to beneficiaries.
∎ Guide and support in Home Modification for better accessibility of Persons with Disabilities
∎ Selection of appropriate assistive device, random follow up of clients.
∎ Documentation of client files and other related information about service delivery.
∎ You will also perform additional work according to the projects need and as being assigned by the CDD authority

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 27 to 40 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Minimum 3 years' experience and at least 1 year experience in team running & working as a team leader and experience in the Rohingya context is preferable.
∎ Experience in inclusion of at risk groups ideally in humanitarian context- persons with disabilities, women, children, and older people
∎ Knowledge on humanitarian sectors
∎ Knowledge / understanding on the rights of persons with disabilities, older people or other at risk groups and their challenges in humanitarian/development context highly desirable
∎ Person with disability are encouraged to apply

Salary: Tk. 82500 - 87500 (Monthly)
