Experience:

• Age At most 45 years

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in construction/infrastructure projects, preferably with a minimum 2 years in humanitarian or development projects in emergency contexts or NGO sector

• Honest, Ethical, Punctual, and Hard worker.

• Have good Knowledge of English & Prepared reports in PowerPoint.

• Must be able to work in a team or in a group.

• Having Motor Bike with a valid driving license will get preference.

ESDO was established in 1988 with the aim of supporting poor and marginalized people affected by the devastating flood and gradually moving towards achieving a broader vision of achieving sustainable, secured, and resilient livelihoods for these poor and marginalized people through improving their overall sustainable development. For the last more than three and a half decades of its development journey, ESDO has set an outstanding example of a sustainable development model for the underprivileged communities of Bangladesh. ESDO has been working in the country's primarily unserved and underserved locations, nurturing a community-focused participatory approach and people's ownership. Consequently, the ESDO's working area has already established an enabling environment. We have made notable achievements in livelihood improvement, food security and nutrition, education, women's empowerment, health, the promotion of children's rights, adolescent and youth engagement, and the rights of ethnic minorities. During this long span, we have adapted to the changing situation and provided the most time-bound effective services, especially to the poor and disadvantaged people. Considering the government's development policies, we are currently implementing a considerable number of projects and programs, including a microfinance program, through a community-focused and people-centered approach to accomplish the government's development agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN as a whole. One of the most dynamic organizations, ESDO, is expanding its development interventions across 408 upazilas under 53 districts of Bangladesh, thereby reaching over 15 million impoverished and vulnerable individuals.

ESDO is inviting applications from interested qualified candidates for the following position.

Project Duration: 03 months (will be extended if project will extend)

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise on-site construction works, ensuring quality standards, safety protocols, and environmental compliance are followed.

• Monitor contractors’ performance, verify measurements, and support certification of completed works.

• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, including site visit documentation and photographs.

• Maintain regular communication with the Project Coordinator and other team members regarding project updates and challenges.

• Support procurement processes by providing technical inputs and ensuring correct materials are procured.

• stakeholder coordination,

• Technical Support, helping design, and supervision of site development works,

• ensuring quality control and adherence to safety standards, and ensures the project meets its objectives on time and within budget.

• Decision-making and communication with Supervisor

• Identifying the defective work /procedure during construction time as well as for finished product.

• Maintain & check the test & record format (QA format) for all types of construction works during construction/ finishing phase by sites

• Check safety & security cleaning aspect & quality improvement aspects of site in respect of supervising person, workers & working environment.

• Require to the defective works for exclusion from the bill of contractor.

• Finding to be recorded in written & proposal with deadline for compliance to be submitted to top management.
