∎ JOB PURPOSE: The purpose of this role is to develop, contextualize, and implement BRAC`s health-specific local, national, and global communications plan in order to promote pro-poor and community-based inclusive healthcare provision. It will oversee behavioral change communication, relevant national and global partnerships, and the overall branding of the programme. The role will also be responsible for developing capacity-building strategies for the BHP staff and ensuring the proper execution of the strategy.
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organization and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment. Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action. Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Leading training curriculum and material development for health workers, supervisors, and managers
∎ Ensuring capacity needs assessments of health workers and supervisors at different levels
∎ Preparing training plans, ensuing implementation of capacity building plans, and evaluating them
∎ Ensuring the identification and documentation of critical knowledge assets, best practices, lessons learned, and intellectual capital of the BRAC Health Programme
∎ Developing policy briefs/ position papers on health within the organization and at national & international levels through a process of critical analysis and reflection
∎ Overseeing programme's branding and communication activities, and preparing communication strategies for the BHP
∎ Representing the programme in different national, regional, and international meetings/ workshops/ seminars to promote BHP's work and BRAC's communications agenda
∎ Providing support in developing proposals and raising funding for various innovation and evidence-building projects
∎ Leading the capacity development team for the facilitation of the training by providing guidance
∎ Analyzing the capacity development related reports on dashboard data along with the reports of programme indicators while suggesting corrective indicators where necessary
∎ Preparing budget, financial management, and procurement process for the assigned Unit
∎ Leading research and studies on various aspects of healthcare provision to generate evidence and promote evidence-based advocacy
∎ Leading and providing technical support in developing and implementing viable health-specific advocacy work plans for HNPP in line with the BRAC Health Strategy and BRAC Global Strategy
∎ Representing the BHP in high-level policy advocacy, negotiation, and lobbying with relevant ministries, directorates and strategic partners
∎ Initiating the process of implementing evidence-based health advocacy through close collaboration with M&E team, research partners, and BRAC affiliates.
