∎ Pursuant to its mission ACDI/VOCA is looking for talented, highly motivated and current experienced professionals as Private Sector Engagement specialists to our team.

∎ Reports to: Market System Team Lead

∎ JOB SUMMARY:
∎ This is a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic and dedicated team working to build a stronger, more resilient, and sustainable livestock sector in Bangladesh. This role offers diversity of tasks, learning opportunities particularly in analyzing livestock sector, and identifying innovative and inclusive solutions, to help individuals, suppliers, businesses to increasing livestock productivity, marketability of livestock products, and household consumption of safe and diversified livestock products.
∎ The ideal candidate will be a pioneer to collaborate seamlessly with project staff, government officials, civil society members, private sector partners, and beneficiaries. As the key focal point for this role, the candidate will work closely with private sector partners to co-create solutions and leverage their resources, technologies, and expertise to achieve our desired results.
∎ Moreover, S/he will collaborate closely with technical leads and the team to overseeing the evidence-based knowledge capture and sharing process on broader livestock ecosystems in order to foster a collaborative learning environment and efficiently and effectively scale impacts through promoting successful business models.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Together with the MSD Team Lead, take the lead in crafting a detailed work plan that will drive the successful execution of the project's private sector engagement strategy.
∎ Be a primary point-of-contact and build long-term relationships with the relevant private sectors and the stakeholders.
∎ Strongly Communicate and negotiate with the private sector, assisting them to cocreate win-win business solutions (e.g. grants, MoUs, and other partnership mechanisms) which enable them to expand inclusive business while benefiting the livestock community.
∎ Enhance the program's performance by generating innovative ideas with the team and creating a pipeline of new partnerships.
∎ Manage implementation and measurement of interventions, including analyzing intervention progress by tracking activities, milestones, mitigating risks and sharing progress updates, recommendations, and improvements.
∎ Coordinating with the MEL, GSI, and other components leads to strengthening livestock input and output market systems.
∎ Stand out as a strong learning representative of PSE activities. Identify and stay current with ACDI/VOCA knowledge management strategy and approach - internal and more broadly in the livestock ecosystem- to sharing and accessing knowledge for the broader team in an effective and easily consumable manner.
∎ Promote and cultivate opportunities for learning and collaboration across the program and with field offices. Accordingly, Identify and document best practices and lessons learned from project implementation.
Additional Requirements:
∎ We are searching for young professionals with 3 to 5 years of work experience, preferably with the private sector to promote private sector driven growth.

∎ Potential to provide advisory, mentoring, and capacity building services to MSMEs and/or private partners to increase competitiveness.
∎ Experience with computer-based Microsoft packages (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

∎ Can-do attitude, a leaning and inquisitive mind and capacity and willingness to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
∎ Strong tenacity to negotiate, advise and resolve issues that are highly complex and sensitive in nature.
∎ Creative skills and conceptual problem-solving abilities contributing to new and innovative ideas.
∎ Excellent critical analysis, synthesis, and language skills (written and verbal), combined with the ability to translate complex findings and ideas into simple, clear and actionable content.
∎ Willingness to travel extensively within country.
∎ The ability to work well either individually or as part of a team to meet tight deadlines.
∎ Awareness, sensitivity, and understanding of cross-cultural issues particularly in representing a US-based organization.
