Job Context/Summary:

The Principal of Riverview Nursing College, is the administrative head, directly responsible tothe Al-Manar Hospital Ltd. Management for the college`s overall functioning. They areaccountable for implementing, revising the curriculum for various nursing courses, andoverseeing research activities, ensuring alignment with Al-Manar Hospital`s vision and missionfor providing high-quality healthcare

Responsibilities:

We are seeking experienced and skilled candidates. To ensure we meet the high standards set by the Bangladesh Nursing & Midwifery Council (BNMC) and Dhaka University, all applicants need to meet their specific requirements.

Planning and Development:

  • Formulate the college`s educational philosophy and objectives.

  • Identify current needs related to nursing education programs.

  • Research, evaluate, and acquire resources for effective teaching.

  • Develop action plans and select appropriate learning experiences for students.

Organization and Staffing:

  • Determine the number and responsibilities of faculty and staff positions.

  • Analyze job requirements for each position based on program needs.

  • Prepare job descriptions with clear lines of authority, responsibilities, and communication channels.

  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities commensurate with staff abilities.

  • Maintain a balanced workload distribution among staff members.

  • Facilitate effective staff functioning through meetings and collaboration.

Leadership and Management:

  • Recommend staff appointments and promotions based on qualifications, experience, and overall staff composition.

  • Encourage and support professional development initiatives for staff and students.

  • Provide clear direction and guidance to staff members. Conduct staff orientation programs.

  • Make administrative decisions based on established policies.

  • Facilitate staff participation in professional and community activities.

  • Create an environment that fosters staff and student involvement in program development.

  • Cultivate a positive and professional attitude among staff and students.

  • Encourage staff contribution to the development of sound educational programs.

  • Grant faculty freedom to develop innovative courses within the curriculum framework.

  • Promote staff participation in research activities.

  • Secure and maintain adequate physical facilities.

Coordination and Communication

  • Coordinate all program-related activities, including regular meetings, scheduling, and effective communication channels.

  • Foster collaboration within the college and with external stakeholders.

  • Advocate for nursing education with other healthcare disciplines and the public.

Evaluation and Quality Assurance:

  • Implement systems for continuous evaluation and revision of the curriculum.

  • Maintain accreditation recognition from university and other regulatory bodies.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive student and program records.

  • Prepare periodic reports on program progress, challenges, and plans for continuous improvement.

  • Manage the college`s budget through preparation, approval, and administration.

Teaching and Guidance:

  • Actively participate in educational programs for professional development.

  • Identify continuing education needs for self and staff, and encourage opportunities for such development.

  • Participate as a teacher in the college`s educational programs.

  • Implement and maintain a systematic student and staff guidance program.

  • Encourage scholarly activities like research and publication writing.

  • Oversee student recruitment, selection, and promotion processes.
