1. Education: Master’s degree (or higher) in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.

2. Experience: Minimum 10 years in a leadership role within an English Medium school setting; experience with religious education programs (such as Hifzul Qura’an) is a plus.

Job Summary:

The Principal serves as the strategic and operational leader of the school, responsible for setting the vision, establishing high standards, and overseeing the academic and administrative performance of the institution—including both General Education and Hifzul Qura’an departments. The Principal ensures a safe, inclusive, and high-achieving learning environment, drives instructional excellence, leads professional development of staff, and ensures effective stakeholder engagement including parents, students, and the broader community.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Strategic Direction

2. Take overall responsibility for the institution’s operations, vision, and performance.

3. Set and communicate clear academic and operational goals for both students and teachers.

4. Establish and monitor performance objectives in alignment with national curricula and school standards.

5. Lead the planning and execution of institutional development initiatives, including academic innovation and religious education (Hifzul Qura’an).

Academic Oversight:

1. Supervise the implementation of standardized curricula and teaching methodologies.

2. Monitor and evaluate teacher performance through regular class observations, lesson plan reviews (e.g. fortnightly DLP checks), and structured appraisal processes.

3. Provide guidance, mentoring, and orientation for new and existing teaching staff.

4. Research and implement new instructional resources and educational technologies.

5. Promote and organize in-house trainings and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Operations and Administration:

1. Oversee all daily school operations ensuring smooth functioning of academic and non-academic units.

2. Manage school logistics, procurement, and financial budgeting.

3. Review, implement, and monitor compliance with school policies, procedures, and safety protocols.

4. Maintain updated employee records and ensure HR processes are followed efficiently.

Student and Community Engagement:

1. Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment for all students.

2. Monitor student progress and address academic or behavioral concerns proactively.

3. Encourage and maintain active parent involvement through regular communication and events.

4. Represent the school in board meetings, conferences, community forums, and public events.

5. Present data-driven reports on school performance and improvement strategies to the governing body.

Human Resource Management:

1. Interview, recruit, and onboard school personnel including academic and administrative staff.

2. Ensure teacher performance is regularly assessed and supported through coaching and feedback.

3. Promote a positive and collaborative working environment among staff members.

Safety, Discipline, and Crisis Management:

1. Develop and implement emergency response procedures and safety protocols.

2. Handle student discipline issues promptly and effectively.

3. Manage unexpected school crises, providing leadership and support to staff, students, and families.

Events and Extracurricular Activities:

1. Plan and organize school-wide events, assemblies, parent-teacher meetings, and celebrations.

2. Attend and actively participate in school functions such as plays, sports events, and exhibitions—even after regular hours—to demonstrate commitment and community presence.
