Responsibilities & Context:
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Pastry Chef to join our school canteen team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality baked goods while ensuring hygiene, consistency, and student-friendly offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare a variety of pastries, cakes, cookies, and baked snacks for daily canteen operations
Ensure all food items meet quality, taste, and presentation standards
Maintain strict hygiene and food safety practices
Plan and introduce healthy, student-friendly menu options
Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement for ingredients
Ensure proper storage and handling of food items
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Baker
Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Creativity in designing appealing baked items for children
