Job Responsibilities:
∎ Individual Counseling: Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions with students to address their emotional, social, and academic concerns.
∎ Help students develop coping strategies and problem-solving skills.
∎ Assess and provide interventions for students experiencing emotional distress or crisis situations.
∎ Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all counseling interactions.
∎ Group Counseling: Organize and facilitate group counseling sessions to address common issues faced by students.
∎ Create support groups to promote peer support and a sense of community.
∎ Implement preventive and proactive programs to enhance student well-being.
∎ Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to identify students in need of pastoral support.
∎ Collaborate with the school's leadership team to develop and implement a comprehensive pastoral care program.
∎ Attend meetings with parents and teachers to discuss student progress and concerns.
∎ Cambridge Curriculum Support: Stay informed about the Cambridge curriculum and its requirements.
∎ Assist students in setting academic goals and overcoming academic challenges within the Cambridge framework.
∎ Offer guidance on subject selection, course planning, and exam preparation.
∎ Crisis Intervention: Be prepared to respond to crises within the school community, providing immediate support and coordinating with appropriate authorities when necessary.
