∎ Post: OT Assistant·
∎ To be well versed with all surgical procedures, equipment used in O.T & Pre-Post operative management of patients in O.T.
∎ Co-operate & co-ordinate with OT staff to ensure effective & efficient patient care delivery.
∎ To ensure proper Co-Ordination with other disciplines in case of shifting / transfer towards ICUs.
∎ Ensure noise and movements within the theatre are kept at minimum.·         To ensure the disinfection & fogging process is followed as per the protocol.
∎ To ensure accurate Inventory & Stock Management.
∎ Monitoring & close observation of patient in the post operative room·
∎ Prepare OR rooms for surgical cases, transports specimens and blood to the appropriate laboratory, and escort or transport patients in a safe manner utilizing the appropriate equipment when necessary·
∎ Assist nursing staff in specific direct patient care activities, performs inventory and set-up of reusable/disposable sterile supplies and equipment, in collaboration with the surgical team·
∎ Assists patient and family prior to surgery as directed·
∎ Assist patients in the performance of personal care, toileting, intake/output·
∎ Plans, organizes and performs as a surgical technologist, including the collection of equipment, instruments and supplies necessary for procedures·
∎ Assists in positioning of patients, including draping during procedures·
∎ Continually works in a neat, organized, safe and efficient manner·
∎ Carry out tasks assigned by the competent authority.
