Educational Requirements:
∎ Completed university degree in Medical science (MBBS) with post-graduate qualification (FCPS, MS, Diploma) on Gynecology and Obstetrics from an accredited academic institution.
∎ Good in written communication in English and Bangla.
∎ Computer skills in MS Word, Excel and Power Point will be a plus point.

Job Context:
∎ Partners in Health and Development (PHD) is in agreement with UNICEF to implement a project titled `Maternal, Neonatal, and Child Health (MNCH) and Nutrition Service Delivery for Bangladeshi Host Communities at Cox`s Bazar District`. The project will be funded by the World Bank to strengthen the current health system which has been constrained due to the Rohingya influx in 2017 and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. As such PHD inviting applications from qualified Obstetricians to work under the direct supervision of the Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer and technical supervision of UNICEF`s Health Section and overall guidance of Civil Surgeon, Cox`s Bazar. To ensure health support services particularly gynecological and obstetric services at CEmOC s/he will maintain effective liaison with the superintendent of Upazila Health Complex (Kutubdia and Moheshkhali).
∎ Job Location: 2 positions for each of 2 Upazila Health Complexes (UHC) in Kutubdia and Moheshkhali of Cox`s Bazar District.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Under the technical supervision of UNICEF's Health Section at Cox's Bazar, and in collaboration with the authority of assigned UHCs, CS-Office and relevant government institutions, each Obstetrician will undertake the following tasks:
∎ Work as a specialist doctor in managing gynecological and obstetric cases, especially those are being referred from the UH&FWC/USC, CC and Community.
∎ Provide medical services and consultation to gynecological and obstetric-related patients as per requirements.
∎ Assist the doctors with the ward rounds and post-operative cases.
∎ Perform Caesarean operations, both as scheduled / elective and emergency operations.
∎ Support and mentor, Medical Officers, Nurses and other mid-level healthcare professionals.
∎ Provide proper services to the patients admitted in the inpatient wards performing roster duties as and when needed to cover 24/7 services.
∎ Assist to prepare periodic reports and other requests for information as required.
∎ Provide support to manage supply and stock in OT/ Warehouse to avoid stock out situations.
∎ Active engagement with referral and management of transportation for the patients to higher facilities as required.
∎ Coordinate with data entry operators to collect medical information and other details into DHIS2 with maintaining confidentiality.
∎ Perform such other relevant duties assign by the line manager and supervisor.
∎ Maintain functional relation with and accountability to the in-charge of the respective Upazila Health Complex (UHC)

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least two years of experience in relevant.
∎ Knowledge and experience with working in the field of public health.
∎ Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with the Core Values; Care, Respect, Integrity, Trust and Accountability; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with people of diverse cultural and national backgrounds.
∎ High degree of judgment and initiative; ability to work with a high degree of independence within assigned areas.

Salary:
∎ BDT 300,000/per month (Tax will be deducted at source)
