Red Cross - Red Crescent movement is the largest volunteer organization in the world. The Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) is a national society of the movement, constituted on 31 March 1973 by the President`s Order No. 26 of 1973 with retrospective effect from 16 December 1971. This is the biggest humanitarian organization in Bangladesh. As an auxiliary to the government, the Society provides humanitarian assistance to the vulnerable people over the last 48 years and has undertaken a wide range of activities in humanitarian response, disaster management, health, capacity building and in promoting Red Cross/ Red Crescent ideals and principles.
Bangladesh Red Crescent Society is looking for a suitable Bangladeshi national for the following position under Myanmar Refugee Relief Operations (MRRO) at Cox’s Bazar:
Project Name : Myanmar Refugee Relief Operations (MRRO), Cox’s Bazar
Duration of Contract: Up to 31 December 2024 (extendable)

Responsible for: Project Coordination and Accountable to Program Manager
Location: BDRCS MRRO Office, Cox’s Bazar
Job Purpose: The Nutrition Supervisor (Nutritionist) is responsible for implementation of Transit Center Kitchen activities and coordination of MRRO. The primary objective of the NS position is to ensure the timely and smooth implementation of the Transit Center Kitchen – Nutrition project, addressing the day-to-day concerns of the project, updating on project’s progress, project’s plans, etc.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Coordinate with the Transit Center Officer to implement project activities as planned.
Manage and coordinate projects related to the establishment or improvement of transit kitchen centers,
Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with relevant stakeholders,
Oversee the renovation, or setup of kitchen facilities, ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations,
Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to procure necessary equipment and resources,
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement solutions to ensure timely completion,
Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure quality standards are met,
Prepare reports, documentation, and presentations on project status and outcomes,
Liaise with government agencies, community partners, and internal teams to facilitate project communication and alignment
Participate in internal meetings, outside meetings, and weekly meetings with UNHCR.
Preparing projects` needs by gathering requisition.
Ensuring that the facility remains clean, sanitary, and well-organized.
Purchasing items as per approved requisition. Maintain detailed and accurate record of purchase committee meetings including agendas, meeting minutes, follow-up/action points.
Ensure that follow up of document approvals by concerned authorities is done timely and consistently and keep the Deputy Director/ Project Manager updated as required,
Responsible for ensuring all project documents and records are maintained,
Report to the Deputy Director/ Program Manager on a daily and weekly basis and the project’s performance in relation to Transit Center Kitchen issues.
Perform other duties as may be assigned. Any other relevant duties as requested by the line manager/concerned authorities.
