Job Context:
∎ Partners in Health and Development (PHD) is in agreement with UNICEF to implement a project titled `Maternal, Neonatal, and Child Health (MNCH) and Nutrition Service Delivery for Bangladeshi Host Communities at Cox`s Bazar District. The project will be funded by the World Bank to strengthen the current health system which has been constrained due to the Rohingya influx in 2017 and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. As such, PHD inviting applications from qualified nurses for above-mentioned position to SCANU in District Sadar Hospital, Cox`s Bazar is under the direct supervision of the Superintendent, District Sadar Hospital through SCANU Focal Person (Associate Professor) and technical supervision of UNICEF`s Health Section. To provide health services support to the beneficiaries/patients particularly; receiving newly admitted patients and management of the patients under the direct guidance of SCANU Focal Person following the approved Roster Duty in the SCANU.
∎ Job Location: District Sadar Hospital, Cox`s Bazar District.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Under the technical supervision of UNICEF's Health Section at Cox's Bazar, and in collaboration with CS-Office & assigned UHCs and relevant government institutions, each Nurse will undertake the following tasks:
∎ Work as a Duty Nurse in managing neonatal cases, especially those will be referred from the UHC/UH&FWC/USC, CC/Community and Rohingya Refugee Camps area.
∎ Provide nursing care to the patients admitted in the inpatient wards performing roster duties as and when needed to cover 24/7 services.
∎ Provide support to keep patient's treatment and other documentation.
∎ Support for Caesarean operations, both as scheduled / elective and emergency operations.
∎ Assist the doctors with the ward rounds and post-operative cases.
∎ Assist to prepare periodic reports and other requests for information as required.
∎ Provide support to keep patient's treatment and other documentation.
∎ Provide quantification of SCANU supplies for ordering from the warehouse to avoid stock out.
∎ Facilitate referrals and assisted transportation of critical cases to functioning Tertiary health facilities or hospitals when required in accordance with organization mandate and procedures directly or through health partners.
∎ Coordinate with data entry operators to collect medical information and other details into DHIS2 with maintaining confidentiality.
∎ Perform such other relevant duties assign by the line manager and supervisor.
∎ Maintain functional relation with and accountability to the in-charge of the respective Upazila Health Complex (UHC)
Additional Requirements:
∎ Should have experience in Health Project particularly, in Field level which is related with SCANU and CN.
∎ At least one years of working experience.
∎ Knowledge and experience with working in the field of public health.
∎ Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with the Core Values; Care, Respect, Integrity, Trust and Accountability; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with people of diverse cultural and national backgrounds.
∎ High degree of judgment and initiative; ability to work with a high degree of independence within assigned areas.
Salary:
∎ BDT 32,000/per month (TAX will be deducted at source)
