Job Context:
∎ Partners in Health and Development (PHD) is in agreement with UNICEF to implement a project titled `Maternal, Neonatal, and Child Health (MNCH) and Nutrition Service Delivery for Bangladeshi Host Communities at Cox`s Bazar District`. The project will be funded by the World Bank to strengthen the current health system which has been constrained due to the Rohingya influx in 2017 and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. As such, PHD inviting applications from qualified Nurses for the mentioned position to NSU in three Upazila Health Complexes (Ramu, Chakoria and Pekua) in Cox`s Bazar district, under the direct supervision of the Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer and technical supervision of UNICEF`s Health Section and overall guidance of Civil Surgeon, Cox`s Bazar. To ensure quality services to the beneficiaries to establish effective and functional services in the Upazila health complex.
∎ Job Location: 3 positions in each of NSUs of Upazila Health Complexes in Ramu, Chakoria and Pekua) of Cox`s Bazar District.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Under the technical supervision of UNICEF's Health Section at Cox's Bazar, and in collaboration with CS-Office & assigned UHCs and relevant government institutions, each nurse will undertake the following tasks:
∎ Work as a Duty Nurse in managing neonatal cases, especially those will be referred from the UH&FWC/USC, CC and Community.
∎ Assist the doctors with the ward rounds and post-operative cases in the NSU.
∎ Provide proper services to the patients admitted in the inpatient wards performing roster duties as and when needed to cover 24/7 services.
∎ Assist Medical Doctor in conducting health examination including history taking, measurement, treatment, medicine management and dispensing.
∎ Support for Caesarean operations, both as scheduled / elective and emergency operations.
∎ Assist to prepare periodic reports and other requests for information as required.
∎ Provide support to keep patient's treatment and other documentation.
∎ Provide support to manage supply and stock in OT/ Warehouse to avoid stock out situations.
∎ Active engagement with referral and management of transportation for the patients to higher facilities as required.
∎ Coordinate with data entry operators to collect medical information and other details into DHIS2 with maintaining confidentiality.
∎ Perform such other relevant duties assign by the line manager and supervisor.
∎ Maintain functional relation with and accountability to the in-charge of the respective Upazila Health Complex (UHC)
Additional Requirements:
∎ Should have experience in Health Project particularly, in Field level which is related with Pediatric Ward/SCANU/NSU Ward.
∎ At least one years of working experience.
∎ Knowledge and experience with working in the field of public.
∎ Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with the Core Values; Care, Respect, Integrity, Trust and Accountability; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with people of diverse cultural and national backgrounds.
∎ High degree of judgment and initiative; ability to work with a high degree of independence within assigned areas.
Salary:
∎ BDT 40,000/per month (TAX will be deducted at source)
