Job Context:
∎ Genex is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to build and improve NLP products and create new speech applications.
∎ ML Engineer responsibilities include transforming natural language data into useful features using NLP techniques to feed classification algorithms. To succeed in this role, you should possess outstanding skills in statistical analysis, machine learning methods, and text representation techniques. Additionally, to help us build and improve state-of-the-art streaming bilingual speech recognition systems.
∎ Your ultimate goal is to develop efficient self-learning NLP applications.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Design NLP applications
∎ Select appropriate annotated datasets for Supervised Learning methods
∎ Use effective text representations to transform natural language into useful features
∎ Find and implement the right algorithms and tools for NLP tasks
∎ Develop NLP systems according to requirements
∎ Train the developed model and run evaluation experiments
∎ Perform statistical analysis of results and refine models
∎ Extend ML libraries and frameworks to apply in NLP tasks
∎ Remain updated in the rapidly changing field of machine learning
∎ Design and build a scalable infrastructure that enables training, evaluating, and deploying machine learning models over vast quantities of data
∎ Design, build and deploy production software that is part of critical ML data and model pipelines
∎ Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and undefined problems
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 27 to 40 years
∎ Proven experience as an ML Engineer or similar role
∎ Understanding of NLP techniques for text representation, semantic extraction techniques, data structures, and modeling
∎ Solid Knowledge of Linear algebra and Vector Calculus is a must-have skill
∎ Experience with machine learning frameworks (like Keras, PyTorch, or Tensorflow) and libraries (like scikit-learn)
∎ Deep understanding of text representation techniques (such as n-grams, a bag of words, sentiment analysis, etc), statistics and classification algorithms
∎ Knowledge on Transformers and Transfer Learning
∎ Knowledge in standard ASR toolkits such as Kaldi, HTK, or similar
∎ Knowledge in deep learning product development for speech recognition use cases - e.g., RNNs, CNNs, sequence-to-sequence modeling for speech-to-text and/or text-to-speech
∎ Experience working with massive datasets involving audio data
∎ Expertise with the PyTorch framework
∎ Clear concepts of OOP and Frameworks like Django, FastAPI, or Flask
∎ Experience in Docker, AWS, or GCP
∎ An analytical mind with problem-solving abilities
∎ Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computational Linguistics or similar field
