∎ • ESDO is inviting applications from interested qualified candidates for the position. The MEAL Officer will lead the monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning processes for the Employability Skills and Resilience (ESR) Project, ensuring evidence-based implementation, quality assurance, and adaptive learning. The role involves tracking progress against objectives, establishing accountability mechanisms, and promoting learning for continuous improvement of the project outcomes.
∎ Job Responsibilities
∎ Monitoring and Evaluation:
∎ • Implement a comprehensive MEAL framework for the ESR project.
∎ • Collect, manage, and analyze data on project outputs, outcomes, and impacts using standard tools and methodologies.
∎ • Ensure timely tracking and reporting of project indicators aligned with project objectives and Save the Children requirements.
∎ • Conduct field visits to verify data accuracy, monitor activity progress, and provide technical support to the implementation teams.
∎ • Conduct quality benchmark (QB) monitoring to assess the quality of key interventions.
∎ • Input QB data into the online QB system and share findings with the team monthly.
∎ • Maintain the project participants database (both online and offline) regularly.
∎ • Maintain the Management Information System (MIS) and update data with project support to track progress against the Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP) regularly.
∎ Accountability:
∎ • Support to establish feedback mechanisms for project participants and stakeholders to enhance program accountability.
∎ • Ensure adherence to organizational policies on safeguarding and accountability.
∎ • Respond to feedback and complaints in a timely and respectful manner.
∎ • Input Feedback Response Mechanism (FRM) data into the SCI online accountability system regularly.
∎ Learning:
∎ • Facilitate learning workshops and after-action reviews to promote knowledge sharing and best practices among project teams.
∎ • Document lessons learned and success stories to inform future programming.
∎ • Support the integration of learning outcomes into project planning and implementation.
∎ • Document success stories, case studies, and best practices for internal and external dissemination.
∎ Reporting:
∎ • Prepare and submit regular progress reports to management and SCI.
∎ • Ensure compliance with SCI reporting requirements and deadlines.
∎ • Contribute to the development of project proposals and budgets, incorporating MEAL components.
∎ Capacity Building:
∎ • Provide training and support to project staff on MEAL processes and tools.
∎ • Foster a culture of learning and accountability within the team.
