∎ Masters on Statistics/Economics/Development studies/Sociology equivalent from govt. recognized any university.

∎ Training and facilitation skills.
∎ Experienced needed: At least 2 years working experience on M&E field with reputed organizations.
∎ Travel: Ability to travel about 40%
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ The M&E Officer will be responsible for the following tasks-
∎ Monitor all project activities and progress towards achieving the project output of Project.
∎ Develop and maintain program monitoring and reporting system.
∎ Monitoring center coordinator will be responsible for data collection, storage and reporting and according to need base will be responsible for providing to donor.
∎ Ensure field staff are properly trained and prepared for all relevant aspects of program monitoring;
∎ Ensure the consistency of M&E quantitative and qualitative data (baseline and end line)
∎ Supervise implementation of M&E process (baseline, end line, PDM, Post-Harvest Monitoring and as delegated by the Project Coordinator.
∎ Establish functional MIS system and follow data management protocols.
∎ Prepare Monthly Update M&E report as required by BCWS and Donor.
∎ Liaise with Project coordinator to ensure that program indicators, monitoring formats, databases, data analysis, and reporting are maintained and harmonized;
∎ Provide feedback to the Project Management on project strategies and activities.
∎ Suggest strategies to the Project Management for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the project by identifying bottlenecks in completing project activities and developing plans to minimize or reduce such bottlenecks.
∎ Support M&E team to facilitate different sessions and programs where needed.
∎ Report monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual progress on all project activities to the Project Coordinator Participate in annual project reviews and planning workshops and assist the Project Coordinator in preparing relevant reports.
∎ Assist the project personnel preparing M&E tools and in supporting them in their use.
∎ Conduct need based small study for learning and share result for improvement.
∎ Prepare monthly analysis based on progress and share achievement and gaps as well in the meeting to promote effective planning.
∎ Develop M & E capacity for team members to identify gaps in M & E related issues;
∎ Mobilize team on data analysis and reporting from routine activity & output monitoring, annual surveys, support the preparation of quarterly and annual performance reports and providing updated data for updating project's Indicator Performance Tracking Table (IPTT).
∎ Maintain effective coordination with project team as well as program team lead.
∎ Any other additional activities as per organizational needs.

∎ The Bangladesh Centre for Worker Solidarity (BCWS) is a prominent labor rights advocacy organization based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The aim of the organization is to empower and support garment workers who are seeking decent working conditions and to advocate domestically and internationally for greater respect for labor rights and fighting for workers’ rights and job with dignity. BCWS especially emphasizes the rights of women workers, gender equality, participation of women workers in bargaining and protecting the human rights of women and children. BCWS was founded in 2000.
∎ BCWS is implementing a project titled "General Operating Support for Uplifting Garment Workers' Voice and Addressing Priority and Emerging Issues" It is a 4 years project. The purpose of the project to (i) address priority and emerging issues for workers in Bangladesh, (ii) uplift the voices of Bangladeshi garment workers into international advocacy efforts and (iii) strengthen organizational processes and performance through a general operating support.
