Job Context:
∎ Location of posting: Baishari Union, Naikhyongchari Upazila, Bandarban Hill District.
∎ Contract Duration: One (01) Year andSix (6) Month
∎ Job Summary:
∎ TAHZINDONG an environmental and socio-economic development organization has been responding to implement project in the host community of Baishari union under Nakhyongchari Upazila in Bandarban Hill District from December 2019. Since May 2019 Caritas Bangladesh implementing "SOKKHOMOTA`` Collaborate, Prepare and Resilient to Natural and Human Induced disasters Project Funded by USAID/OFDA and CRS. This project will make targeted communities less vulnerable to future shocks/hazards through a community-led process to build local capacity and resilience to future shocks/hazards.The project will work directly with highly vulnerable households to build their awareness and capacity to prepare for and respond to shocks/hazards. The project will also strengthen the local DRR structures, including Disaster Management Committees, working with Bangladesh Red Crescent Societies and Cyclone Preparedness volunteers. Engagement of local government, traditional and religious leaders to enhance community participation and collaboration will play a central role in the project to tenable communities to address needs to improve collective resilience.
∎ Reporting:
∎ Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (M&E) will report to Upazila Coordinator. S/he will be reporting to the TAHZINGDONG program team when necessary.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Engage with the implementation of project at Host Community.
∎ Take lead of upazila team for collecting the required data and put mechanism in place for data validation.
∎ Implement monitoring tools in the project.
∎ Undertake field visit at project area as per demand of the project and make individual plan for collecting data for project monitoring purpose.
∎ Conduct baseline survey, Midline and End line surveys on family profile of the project working/ implementing areas under guidance of MEAL specialist.
∎ Regularly update community based database.
∎ Measure project achievement as per DIP.
∎ Monitor progress and performance of the project activities and prepare monitoring report of Project as and when needed.
∎ Provide all the necessary information - analyzed data, success stories and learning for preparing quarterly reports.
∎ Assist in research activities, study/evaluation process, and data compilation and provide necessary support in preparation of study/evaluation report of Project.

∎ Able to take decision in a timely manner, priorities and multi-task work seamlessly
∎ Having valid driving license and able to drive motorcycle for long distances.
Salary:
∎ Salary and benefits: Monthly Gross Salary will be Thirty Five thousand (35,000.00BDT) with other admissible benefits such as festival bonus according to project and organizational policy.
