∎ ETI Bangladesh is looking for enthusiastic and qualified candidates for the post based in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
∎ Report to: Country Manager but will be closely working with the Programme Manager Bangladesh for task management.
∎ Job Statement: The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Specialist will lead the development and implementation of all aspects of the ETI Bangladesh monitoring, evaluation, learning and dissemination strategy.
∎ Main Purpose: To lead the development and implementation of ETI Bangladesh`s monitoring, evaluation and learning strategy to ensure programme quality and effectiveness and demonstrate impact. To facilitate ethical trade knowledge sharing and learning across ETI member organisations and other key stakeholders - internationally and in the Bangladesh.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ In consultation with Country Manager, Programme Manager and Secretariat; develop and improve ETI Bangladesh Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning systems, continuously review their efficacy and make adaptations, as needed.
∎ To lead on the implementation of a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Strategy to ensure that ETI Bangladesh can demonstrate progress against its Strategy with a credible and robust evidence base.
∎ To build a credible and robust evidence base for the delivery of ETI Bangladesh strategic priorities and other programmes. This includes ensuring that all significant initiatives are well-designed, based on evidence or a theory of change, have established baselines and appropriate systems for collecting, monitoring, and analysing data and information. Play a catalytic role in the organisation to enable capturing lesson/learning and sharing of good practice.
∎ Work closely with the ETI Bangladesh Programme Manager, Gender Specialist and Programme Coordinator to provide support, practical guidance and advice to identify clear goals and measurable outcomes; monitor progress, evaluate impact and distil learning from ETI Bangladesh programmes, events, initiatives and other work streams.
∎ To contribute to the global body of knowledge on ethical trade through documentation of evidence from ETI Bangladesh programme and initiatives. Build a repository of lessons, successes/failures and analysis of what works and why. Contribute to the development of case studies, reports and policy papers to enable shared understanding of what 'good' corporate behaviour looks like.
∎ To promote and support knowledge sharing and learning among ETI Bangladesh stakeholders by convening forums/platforms; organising events or presenting at conferences or workshops and other knowledge sharing forums, as relevant.
∎ To contribute toward preparing overarching reports for donors and other key stakeholders.
∎ To manage the design, commissioning and delivery of independent evaluations and impact assessments of the ETI Bangladesh programmes and initiatives.
∎ May also be expected at times to contribute to other areas of work based on availability and organization need.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum seven to ten years' relevant work experience, preferably in international development, NGO and/or responsible business.
∎ Significant experience in a senior monitoring and evaluation role in an international development or global commercial organisation.
∎ Sound knowledge of best-practice monitoring and evaluation tools and frameworks, experience of implementing these and in training/coaching others in their use.
∎ Experience of carrying out, and commissioning research from third parties, to achieve specified outcomes.
∎ Experience of drafting and presenting complex information to a variety of audiences in a clear and accessible way.
∎ Proven experience in qualitative and quantitative data processing, analysis and interpretation using computer based software namely SPSS, SAS, etc.
∎ Proven track record of building and nurturing relationships and influencing external stakeholder agendas.
∎ Practical knowledge of LFA approach, result based management, ToC and experience in planning, designing and implementing MEL framework and necessary tools for a complex programme/projects.
∎ Experience in producing quality report (English and Bengali), case study, success story and document on lesson learned and best practices.
∎ Sound understanding of labour rights and working conditions in global supply chains.
∎ Sound understanding of gender dimensions and diversity issues in relevant areas of work and ability to mainstream in organisational Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning systems.
∎ Excellent interpersonal skills for working with both internal and external stakeholders.
∎ High degree of self-control and self-motivation toward excellent deliverables and strong interest in sustainability issues and role of business in creating a just and sustainable world.
∎ Capacity to work and thrive in a growing, fast-paced, entrepreneurial organization with a collaborative environment.
