∎ JAGO NARI is working in the development sector since 1998 for women empowerment and reduces inequality at coastal districts of Bangladesh. JAGO NARI is seeking a Monitoring & Advocacy Officer for Right 2 Grow (R2G) project. Funded by Action Contre la Faim (ACF). This position will be Project Period.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Design the tools for conducting in-depth safety assessment of individual Activities project area to identify structural vulnerability and needs.
∎ Work closely with the Project Officer/ Training & Capacity building Officer/Union facilitator and Community Promotors in conducting the safety assessments at the school level.
∎ Prepare an assessment report including the activities to be undertaken to ensure safety and resiliency of the school in disasters.
∎ Ensure that the designs include the considerations to ensure accessibility of the children/ persons with disabilities.
∎ Ensure disaster resilient WASH facilities & Nutrition in the Working Area.
∎ Maintain weekly and monthly implementation plan.
∎ Jointly work with the Project Officer, Union Facilitator and Community Promotors assist them for smooth implementation.
∎ Implement the activities as per Detail Activity Plan (DIP).
∎ Ensure awareness of the People on use of WASH facilities and Nutrition.
∎ Prepare weekly and monthly progress report of the small-scale mitigation activities and submit to the Project Coordinator on time.
∎ Follow-up and monitoring of the activities to ensure quality and timeliness and feedback for improvement.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 3 years of experience in development sector as Same Position.
∎ Age: Age At most 40 year(s) but it should be relaxed for experienced candidate
∎ Minimum of 3 years experiences at development sector as Same Position.
∎ Experience in implementing, designing and guiding the implementation of the project activities in the rural areas;
∎ Good knowledge on monitoring and evaluation activities, designing monitoring tools for the project;
∎ Experienced in developing project implementation strategy, guidelines and management tools;
∎ Experienced in presenting project status in the high-level meeting and workshop with the donors;
∎ Innovative, dynamic, hardworking and have good interpersonal relationship and ability to work in a team;
∎ Experienced in communication, liaison and collaborating with the GO/NGO officials;
∎ Have knowledge about budget tracking, monitoring of expenses, report preparation at the different stage of the project;
∎ Good communication skill in English and Bengali; good knowledge on staff supervision, mentoring, coaching and development;
∎ Good skills in computer operation especially with MS-Word, power point and spread sheet, internet and email applications;
∎ Willing to work in pressure situation and interested to implement project at the remote areas of Bangladesh.
Salary:
∎ 42,000/= (Forty Two Thousand) Taka per month.
