Job Context:
∎ SHIMANTIK is a national NGO since 1979 in Bangladesh. Shimantik is implementing USAID’s MaMoni Maternal and Newborn Care Strengthening Project (MNCSP), funded by USAID and Technical Support by Save the Children International in 4 Districts- Sylhet Sadar, Habiganj, Brahmanbaria and Sunamganj. Shimantik is also involved in implementing emergency response to COVID-19 pandemic project under the umbrella of MaMoni MCSP.
∎ As part of the COVID-19 Response Project, Shimantik will start implementing on enhanced registration for vaccination in Four new districts (Sirajganj, Moulvibazar, Netrokona and Naogaon, the districts may change later due to programmatic priority shift). The enhanced registration on vaccination and community-based intervention will work intensively with community health system and community members in order to reduce transmission of the corona virus and thus mitigate the impact on health. To manage a variety of interventions in districts and upazilas, Shimantik looks forward to hire One MIS and M&E who will be responsible to engage with local health officials, plan activities through report collection and analysis and produce programmatic and financial progress report as per contractual obligations. Shimantik is seeking application from the potential candidate on the following requirements for the position:
∎ Duration: 2 months (with possibility of extension subject to funding, program needs and performance)
∎ Job Location: Based in Dhaka with frequent travels.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop detail plan for monitoring & supervision and evaluation to ensure services.
∎ Identify the area where support is needed like local IT sector and MIS.
∎ Communicate with SCI Covid-19 team and MIS team for the management of the report.
∎ Coordinate with SCI’s MIS COVID-19 Response team and IT programmer for support.
∎ Follow up and support at District hospitals and UHCs & CC to monitor the report & its progress.
∎ Liaison with DGHS and sub-national government coordination structures.
∎ Monitoring and supervision of the project staff & vendors activity to ensure quality implementation of project activities.
∎ Contribute to weekly updates and inputs to various site reports.
∎ Manage the program activity according to design & plan.
∎ Report writing, compilation, analysis and gap identification.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum one-year field experience in IT & MIS related project.
